The Ghost Village of Tyneham

The Ghost Village of Tyneham in Dorset's. In Nov 1943 all residents were told to leave within 28 days as the area was needed for forces’ training. On 17 Dec 1943 the last residents left believing one day they could return. Sadly this was never to happen.

Another great video of somewhere I used to visit as a child, this one has such a sad history and there's so much to see including the old school house where you can see the desks where the children upped and left thinking one day they would be back. It's not the easiest of places to find but well worth the effort. Your video captured the atmosphere of the place and commentary wasn't needed. I live in Norfolk and there are a lot of abandoned/ruined churches as well as some abandoned villages to the west of Dereham.

The same story for the residents of Imber in Wiltshire. Everything destroyed apart from the church which can be visited when the army allows once a year.
