Well bless ye, your priorities are good, just stay safe, ride a bike (pedals or electric) or a rowboat & torch. We're all gonna strike back at the moronic demonic sick cabal that pisses petrol, after hearing this tale through Doc of course, and turn over earth to the humans. The demons, poltergeist, devils, and orgs have fucked it up 'nuff for greed's sake.

Doc, you’ve been on an absolute roll of fantastic tales lately! Not that you ever choose poorly written types, in fact I always know that should you post, it’s already a thumbs up and time for me to grab my drink. An excellent work from the world of old, and I have always found many of these types to be rather interesting as they, back then, had such a different view of space than we do today. And for the most part it often demands more creativity. So to the author, Sewell Peaslee Wright, and outstanding work for you to bring to us. And I’m sure that the direct one hour mark was pleasing to you as well! It’s funny, I also have a weird numbers “thing”, I cannot explain it. But they often have more meaning to me than they (possibly) should. So in all, great job bringing this to us in a spectacular fashion, as only you can! 👍👍👍👍👍👽👽☠️☠️☠️

I love these stories; they've got sort of an old-school narrative vibe to them. I can't help but wonder in this case if he could've bluffed the jellies into thinking that if they didn't simply let them go, that their fleet would wonder where they went and send out ships that would culminate with them glassing their little planet.

I truly enjoy the classic sci-fi stories which the good Doctor reads. It is not only a nod to the authors who have paved the way for the modern and post-modern short story scary spaghetti writers, but it is also a wonderful reminder that the sci-fi writers of ages past were very truly ahead of their time. I listen to these wonderful, vintage, sci-fi stories which the good Doctor narrates and I think, "Wow. We need to do better, senator!"

Wait how are they knocked out for only 20 minutes but they've been going for a full hour at maximum space speed? I get that it would take time to generate a report and assess the situation, but 40 minutes seems excessive. And why is it called space speed, why not call it relativistic velocity or just FTL. "Space speed" just sounds silly. English may not be the author's first language. I don't know of anyone that refers to grenades as bombs. Edit: okay so it's an old 1930s sci-fi story and they didn't know about light speed at that point, so I guess I can forgive the space speed thing. But I still don't understand why he described grenades and then call them bombs. They had grenades in World war I.

@@red_adept if im not mistaken, the very first "bombs" were handheld and dropped from airplanes. Perhaps since this was written so long ago they were more familiar with them as bombs rather than grenades. Pretty interesting either way, these old creative common scifi stories are some of my favorites
