Would've been much more interesting in the movie to see them make friends with and interact with Slimer rather than a perfectly human-looking ghost who talks perfectly. It would be more spectacular and imaginative to see a human forge a relationship with a ghost who is as different from them as a pet is from a human.

In real life McKenna has that blonde hair and doesn't wear glasses, for Afterlife they dyed her hair and cut it to make it look like it did and in Frozen Empire she's wearing a wig (I'm surprised it stayed on her head in some of the scenes!) I can't believe how different she looks in real life without Phoebe's hair and glasses. She's a very talented, humble and down to Earth young lady.

The genes for blondness are recessive, meaning darker hair colors will override them (but blondeness can resurface in successive generations). Her brother was dark-haired as well, so their absent father must have has dark hair. Sure there are actresses out there her age with natural dark hair, but could they have pulled off the role the way she did? Why is this even an issue?
