But in America we have similar size worms but we keep repeatedly introducing invasive worms to the point the native ones are going existent. My giant palouse earthworm is very endangered and its impossible to buy any to repopulate them. Mean time every dam organic Gardner refuses to research native worms but will spend days looking at how to care and increase the invasive worms to the maximum for best worm compost. I literally dug out 200 feet of soil for my garden and found nothing but invasive worms not 1 native but 7 different kinds of invasive worms like wtf.

I love David Attenborough's documentaries. He is one of my favorite documentary presenters, him, Nigel Marven, Pat Spain, Jeff Corwin, Steve Irwin and Jacques Cousteau. Rest in Peace Steve Irwin, we will never forget you. They encouraged and inspired me to one day travel the world and look for animals. My dream is to look for Prehistoric animals that may still exist, like Living Dinosaurs, extant dinosaurs, basically undiscovered dinosaurs and other animals=)

There are giant earthworms in the Gold Coast hinterland at Upper Beechmont.with bodies as round as an adults limbs & longer than a vehicle. They vacate the waterlogged red clay soil to lay across the single lane tar road in the wee small hours before dawn on very wet mornings. Both ends dissapeared into the bush land off both sides of the road. I always felt they were escaping the sodden red clay.Only ever saw them pre dawn while riding my motorcycle to work. The worms were so huge I was often conserned about slipping on them.GIANTS!.

Me and my brother would always dig our Dads compost heap at the back of the garden for worms whenever we were going fishing. Just a few spadefuls of compost would produce hundreds of ultra red ultra wriggly worms. Never caught anything, the water in the drain was so toxic it glowed it night. Poor worms. Our Dad got angry sometimes that we didn't replace the cover of the compost, and it would dry out. He told us instead to fill a watering can and pour it out on a patch of earth near the oak tree, and wait an hour, then dig there. So we did, and got some HUGE earthworms, without disturbing the compost. Still didn't catch anything...

There are many holes like 3cm wide. I did not see them before there. It is actually a walking track. A rarely visited one. They are "worming up" to catch the early bird😆
