Fantastic footage. Been to the causeway lots of times but never seen it like that before.
@ertnhbg2338 жыл бұрын
Please take note potential visitors to the causeway, you do not have to pay to see it! Avoid the guys in the red t-shirts once you arrive and instead walk around the corner to find a public access path free for all. What you are paying for is actually to look inside their new visitor centre (which is more like a bus station inside). Its a swizz folks.

It is advertised that the causeway itself is free access. You only pay for parking, audio-guide or using the visitors centre.

Wonderful place, as children we used to visit a few times in summer, that was in the 70s, but would not go now as it does not feel like the place we went to as kids. all about money now, no matter how many times they say its in the UK i know in my heart its IRISH SOIL, one day Ireland will be one again, and this great wonder will always been part of our land, in the rain and the wind, the sea, when Ireland is one again, free and true.

HI Shaun, Really nice footage, quite envious of you. We were in Ireland in April 2017 traveling the west coast, wanted to cover the Giants Causeway with the drone, even had an Irish drone operators license, got to the counter, "no you can't use that here she said" ended up with DJI OSMO footage instead. When did you film late in the afternoon looking, and my gosh, no people, there were 100's and 100's the day we went. Again well done.

Great video. I recently got a drone myself, do you not get real nervous when it is over the water? I havnt built up the courage to take mine over water yet lol
@williamlitlle13084 жыл бұрын
I have flown over sea more than land, certainly if it goes wrong you stand a fair chance of losing the drone but on the other hand you don't have to worry about people or property. Just ensure your battery is good and you know how it discharges and bear in mind wind direction and strength i.e. don't leave yourself trying to fly upwind from distance with a low battery. Fly it to fully discharged battery overland first so that you can see what it does and when it does it. If coastal flying be aware of gulls etc. as they can be aggresive even outside nesting times and I am sure you would neither wish to hurt them or lose your drone. Full speed up is supposed to be the best escape but then of course you have to get down. I have just tended to fly away if they appear to be getting interested or uppity, no point in upsetting them and in most cases I would have been on a cliff top above them so up would have been ok for me.

@@puckacostello1 A couple of years ago I saw an American? flying a sports? drone at Kinbane, it was incredible. He was, at SPEED, using the tower on the headland as a tunnel, in through a/the window and up out the top of the tower then back again. One twitch at the wrong time and he'd have had a pile of bits dropping to the floor.
