As a full time musician for the past 25 years I gotta tell you, this song hits me in a deep place. I know that a lot of people can relate to the message of the song. It makes me wonder about the future of music, and will it one day just be the tale of an old hermit living on the mountain? We can point fingers at the record companies all we want, but in the end it is up to us, the listeners to go out and support music. Cause if we don't then we deserve Justin Beiber (or worse)

Great Music!! Reminds me so much of the music I grew up with in Lewis county NY. I listened to music very similar to this at Granges, Firehalls, Bar dances and the garages of my youth. They are labeled Bluegrass and it is, but there is still a "Northern" New York flavor reminiscent of the old jigs ,reels and lumber camp songs. soldiers joy, A polka, frauline, wildwood flower I heard the old family sing and play. What a Joy!!

What a great song, and mandolin chops. I have a theory, Americana/bluegrass music is so popular because our spirit is crying out for truth, faith, and family, in a world hell bent on destroying all three. Music heals when nothing else will.
