Once upon a time...
- A kind old woman bakes a gingerbread man and places him in the oven to bake.
- When she takes him out, he comes to life!
- The Gingerbread Man is very proud of his newfound freedom and decides to run away from the old woman and her husband.
The Gingerbread Man's adventures...
- He meets a cow and says, "Run, run, as fast as you can! You can't catch me, I'm the Gingerbread Man!"
- He meets a horse and says the same thing, and the horse can't catch him either.
- He meets a fox and says it again, but the fox is too clever...
The Gingerbread Man's demise...
- The fox tricks the Gingerbread Man into getting too close to the river, and he falls in!
- The Gingerbread Man is swept away by the water and eventually devoured by the fox.
Moral of the story...
- Pride and overconfidence can lead to trouble!
- Be careful when you're feeling too proud or clever.
