Yessss. As much as I absolutely love the first two games (Bioshock 1 is my favourite ever game), Infinite is imo the most fun to watch other people play. The story, world and atmosphere is amazing. Really fun gameplay too

It's so good how Infinite's intro plays with the players knowledge of the first game, you are automatically put on edge. After showing you that eye-candy of a city you question your sixth sense which is screaming at you and well... it has a point! 😂 Hearing "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" at the beginning made me tear up a bit, I can't believe how much this game has an impact on me

Was just going to mention that. There are a few Mass Effect alums in this, though most are "additional voices." Jen Hale as Rosalind, Troy Baker as Booker (though I'm not sure most people realize Troy was in Mass Effect), and I don't want to say the other big one because I'm curious to see if Liera notices it.

Don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet, but Infinite is by the people who did the original, and development started already in 2007, right after Bioshock. They started from zero, and had many challenges, that's why it took six years. Bioshock 2 was outsourced to a different studio, who had a ready technical and artistic toolkit at their use, so it took half the time, that Infinite required. Later this year, a new game, Judas, by the main creator of Bioshock, Ken Levine, will be released.

After playing Mass Effect for so many years you'd think I'd recognize Jennifer Hale's voice right away. But no, it took me a long while before I realized it was her. Just goes to show how incredibly talented she is.

After you finish the Bioshock series, may I strongly recommend the Halo Master Chief Collection, and possibly Halo Infinite as your next voyeur into first person shooter campaigns. The campaigns only take about 5-7hrs to get through on average. Meaning that you could probably finish a full campaign in 2-3 videos. And everyone of them (Except Halo 5) has a fantastic story. And if you have a friend who wants to experience it for the first time, or a friend who has already played it. Halo's campaign co-op is "special". Halo's in-game physics allows you to do things that you will not get in any other game on the market. Like grenade jumping, ragdoll deaths, and flying a dumpster. It's just a lot of fun.

Ahh I remember the candy cigarettes! I think they had trading cards with them too, or maybe it was a type of a gum that came with a trading card? I can't remember! It's crazy that it took that long for the country to crack down on the cigarette companies marketing towards kids

Despite loving BioShock 1 A LOT (and erasing BioShock 2 from my memory because it's just meh lol), BioShock Infinite is definitely not only my favorite part in the series but also one of the best games I've ever played. It's truly a masterpiece. Enjoy! :)

That's what makes the whole thing spooky. >"Something's not quite right" You didn't catch all of it because of the camera angle but the statue of a man changed into that of a woman. Seriously you were not the only one with this reaction :D It's pretty ominous, isn't it? >Health kits They are instant heal items, unlike the other games. you can't collect kits to use them later, nor can you collect salts. The good thing about using possession on humans is that they're not your problem anymore after that. When possession ends most of them will commit suicide (except bosses like the fireman). >Season pass It is automatically included in the Complete Edition, the only one you can buy now. When you are attached to a hook or a sky-line and jump on a single enemy below (they will have a yellow star at their feet when you target them) it's an instant (and silent if no one witness it) kill. No need to shoot them :) I mean, you can, but you have to choose the opportunity. >Combat You might have to change the controls for some things, especially melee and aiming (the default controls don't really make any sense for those functions). Firing from the hip is fine for now but when you'll get a sniper rifle you will really want to make use of the scope. Fortunately controls can be changed from the main menu. At worst you can always link the functions to your mouse buttons for ease of use. In the cult "church" you missed a voxophone by Comstock on a bench, that perfectly makes it clear, just in case you're still not sure if he's a racist or not... When you find a key for a chest, it pays to go back before progressing further. If you go ahead too much it may prove impossible to go back beyond a point. At 1:40:57, the bookcase can be moved to gain access to a little room with a piece of gear. 1:52:11 When you travel on a sky-line, don't hesitate to get off when you have the occasion; you missed a character upgrade on your way to Monument Island. Well, it was quite a start. But it will get better because next episode you'll meet the most important character in the game ;) Before even Booker? I venture to say... yes. Or at the very least on the same level.

1912 was definitely a different time. They didn't have the information on smoking that we have now. And of course all the racism, sexiest stuff and the rest. Don't really like sardines myself. And I remember the candy cigarettes from when I was a kid. Think someone said this before use Possession on vending machines for money and try to save your money for weapon and Vigor upgrades and ammo. Preferably the upgrades. I think you got this hat already, if you put the one called 'Extra! Extra!' on you can get money for listening to Voxophones and you then can switch back to whichever one you want. Also, look behind as many dressers, desks, etc. as you possibly can and for places to get off the Skyline and Hooks. Backtracking can be useful, especially if you find keys and some locations you'll find out about in Voxophones. Like in 2, there are places where you will no longer be able to go back, so make sure you have done everything you want to before moving on. Been awhile since I've played and now feel like playing it again.

something smells off about that music...they are singing a song called "God only Knows" hmmm (God Only Knows was a song by the beach boys and it wasn't released until 1966...it's 1912) there were such things as chocolate cigarettes when i was a kid...they didn't taste great though, very cheap chocolate. "does it have heads on both sides" Me: maybe...or perhaps they knew something we didn't 🤔 interesting bit of trivia they don't really mention (at least not overly well): Columbia made two types of Vigors for the market; Public Vigors and Military ones. The Possession one you get at the Carnival and the Bucking Bronco one you get to try at the Carnival are both public...they aren't as dangerous and are merely "samples". The one you get from the Fireman, the Devil's Kiss, is a military Vigor and purely designed for Columbia defence, much more powerful and dangerous. Which is why Booker says "that wasn't no sample" after he drinks it.

All the Bioshock games are creative artistic masterpieces, but to you which environment seems more plausible...buildings far under the ocean or buildings floating above the clouds? To me this is stretching my suspension of disbelief quite a bit more than the ocean setting.

all i can say...without spoilers...is the background that helps...and is safe to tell you; you are Booker Dewitt, a private investigator from New York, it is 1912...Booker is...a man with a dark past...full of troubles and sins...but you will learn more of that later. Those two mysterious people in the boat have brought you to a lighthouse off the Coast of Maine so you can help them on a mission...you need to go to a place called Columbia and get a girl called Elizabeth and bring her back to New York...i'm sure that will be a walk in the park...right...right? i should also state...just for historical clarification even in the real world...1912 America was quite racist...but this is...how should i say...taking it to new extreme levels. you're going to find out how the city is floating before long...and then you're going to either still love this game...or have issues with it.
