Koli Mai A & HM86 presents.The Girl From Niue Island. A play by Sinahemana Hekau & Vela Manusaute. #Directed by Vela Manusaute. She was brought up to serve her culture, respect her elders and don’t talk back. She is to love the mean teachers at school, clean, wash the clothes, make the umu and sweep the rubbish in the early hours of the morning and read her bible and pray every day. But deep in her heart she wants to dance with the lead actor on the Titanic movie.
At home she was to represent her little island at the Miss South Pacific Pageant 2004. No one gave Miss Niue a chance. Only her Grandmother believed in her.
