Well, it's not about Maya falling in love with Arjun it's about Arjun knowing that he doesn't love her and still marry her, he knew that she's twisted but trying to change for him still he was never satisfied rather try to break her down into something that she never was. He didn't even try to make enough effort to be the partner that she needed which he promised to be rather keep giving her hope from the very beginning.
