A truly underrated gem. This number ranks with the best dancing and choreography ever filmed. Powell is wonderful throughout. It came out at the wrong time. Maybe now is the right time.

Totally agree. Caught "The Girl Most Likely" on TCM this past weekend.. This is a tuneful, energetic, let's have fun sequence. For one one of RKO's last films, it was of top quality direction and production value. And Jane Powell.

This is the only musical I know of that take place in Orange county Ca. ! The beginning of the film is shot on location on the Balboa Ferry. This number has been copied by many choreographers, its the model for the water dance in MY ONE AND ONLY.
