However, when Feriha describes the incident to Gulsum, she says that her heart was beating fast, and the conversation between girls show that Feriha experienced the incident as romantic. Seher was also on observer and for her it was also a romantic scene. So the people immediately in the place, it felt romantic. To me personally it appeared that Emir was wanting to kiss Feriha, but given the situation between them he held back. That gives a hint of respect. I agree just blocking her way and grabbing her face is bullying. That is Emir’s way.

He has never stopped loving her ,but he is still dealing with all these emotions. The burial scene is so powerful. Everyone was dressed in the same color. No class distinctions and the way Emir looks up at Mehmet while they're both shoveling dirt on the grave...very powerful.

ABSOLUTELY! Emir is supposedly crazy in love with her. THIS is the way he treats her! She may have erred but did he at least try to listen to her or gave her the opportunity to be heard? He didn’t show any mercy, as if he’s dealing with his worst enemy. Later on, when the pregnant lady appeared at his door to claim she’s pregnant with his child; he expected Feriah’s understanding, support, and forgiveness! 😡 Feriah did all that. Until he slapped her, Feriah moved out to the dormitory but he forced/carried her to home. What did Emir do in return? He neglected her and treated her poorly; He didn’t come home at times. He went to work even during his off days. He spent his time trying to save her ex girlfriend.
