you know when you get sad after an amazing vacation comes to an end? thats how ive felt after watching all my favorite influencers vlogs and snaps haha love you all and so glad you had such a good time!

I wonder if you would be willing to speak candidly about what these trips really entail. I get that it's for the company to launch a product or line and get it buzzing on social media but are the beauty influencers obligated to snapchat/vlog etc while on the trip and do you have to talk or post about the new products, etc. Is this trip 100% compensated by the host company (including paying for people's significant others who aren't in the industry)? I get that big makeup companies make tons of money and would get discounts for such a large group (from the hotel, airline, etc) but I can't wrap my head around why they wouldn't just have a launch party in LA, use the traditional tactic of sending PR or sponsor an influencer. This Bora Bora trip seemed like it cost Tarte a fortune (especially with the free iPads AND drones - das espensive!) and for me personally it doesn't make me want to buy the product anymore than if Katy showed it on snapchat at home, or in a video, etc. Idk maybe I'm alone here it all just seems very confusing and intriguing to me, at this point we all know how PR and sponsorships work but these trips are pretty new, I'm interested to see what other viewers have to say as well! Hope this doesn't come across as accusatory or shady, love the vlog Katy glad you and the squad had an amazing time!
