One comment on sanding the poly finish. Mayfield Restorations who's done some competitions with Flipping Drawers uses just brown paper bags or Kraft paper to sand between applications, the results are great! Possibly a bit softer and less shiny looking but still very beautiful.

Can you just maintain a teak oil finish or do you have to put another finish over it? I love the smell of teak.

Hi! If you use oil as afinish you need to give it a rub every 6 month or so. I actually prefer that over laquer. Thanks for watching 🙂

Beautiful job, it’s funny some of these videos , I say hey , you missed some dribbles of stain or finish coats but you were on to it! Thanks for that. I’ve seen some dribbles of stain that you can see it after it’s finished, sad! You were extremely lucky to pick that up for free.

I’m wondering why you don’t spray your poly on. Your finish looks flawless but spraying is much faster.

Hi! I have been watching a bunch of your video's, nice to see someone care for the furniture as well :) Me and my sambo are restoring 4 b Bodafors Fridhagen cabinets😊 I was hoping you could the finish, i am a bit confused about using waterbased poly on an oiled cabinet. Seems counterintuitive. Is it 1. nevcesary to put poly on top of the oil? And 2. You dont get some weird reaction between the oil and the poly in the future? Thanks so much again, so far ours are coming along great😊😊

Thank you! You can add water based poly to oiled finish. Just make sure ti let the oil sink into the wood for 1-2 days. Good luck! 🍀

I enjoy your channel, but I must admit that ANY of my restore furniture channels get that scrapper out I just have to skip ahead because when you scrap it sounds like scratching a black board, I myself would much rather use citrus stripper, it is easier on my ears and arms.

I doubt that it's a dining table. It's far too short. You would need to sit on very low stools or sit cross-legged on the floor in order to sit at that table. Also, the stretchers would prevent 2 sides of the table from being used... It's less than knee height to you. Use a little common sense... Would you be able to use it as a dining table? Really? Perhaps it's a coffee table or cocktail table, for use in a living room.
