finally watching the podcast after i watched The Glassworker because i was scared of spoilers. been following this project for five years! i was super bummed when, due to unforeseen circumstances, i missed the release day viewing and also the Karachi meet and greet, where i hoped to get a signed poster from Usman Riaz. :( i'm still at a loss for words-the animation was breathtaking. i got teary-eyed for most of the film and my sister left the theatre bawling her eyes out lol. i was deeply moved by this project, the impact surpassing anything i’ve ever seen before. i'm so grateful i got to experience this magical film with my favorite people. while i initially expected a ghibli-esque film, it surpassed my expectations with its unique appeal and charm. i was even more hyped when i found out Usman Riaz was involved in the music composition. i've always been inspired and curious about his journey, which led to him taking this leap of faith and dedicating prime years of his life to a passion project, so thank you, Shehzad, for this insightful interview. The Glassworker has become a new comfort film for me, rivaling Howl’s Moving Castle. Shehzad, if you see my comment, please consider passing my request along for an official merch release-i’d love to rep this beautiful film and support the creators every way i can! 🤍

Thank you for bringing on your show a true-blue genius, and a role model for millions of Pakistanis. There are too many, zealots who sell subjective, intangible nonsense, C, and D rated pseudo intellectuals like Sahil Adeem and others who failed to compete in the west, and ran back to Pak. Usman Riaz is a true-blue genius, that has actually produced a work of art, that is more than internationally competitive and can generate income, which is food directly in the mouths of Pakistanis. If we could have another Usman Riaz, I would trade a Million Jahil Adeems for him. We need to embrace the scientific and artistic revolution and shun overly religious zealots and politicians. Only then will Pakistan become a respected, scientific, civilized society.

It looks really good. Why wasn’t in released worldwide? It only shows that it was released in Pakistani theatres only? Secondly, when he says, it costs much much more than $1 million dollars, probably 4-5 millions. If its hand drawn, he composed his own music, where would that much was spent? Just curious 🤨. But this guy doesn’t talk shit, he knows what he is talking.
@AliZarshan2 ай бұрын
It's made in Pakistan that's why it released here first with time it will release in other countries like he said movie will be releasing in Japan soon in August and he didn't compose the music alone I think he got help from one guy. He even uploaded video on mano studio channel where he worked with some guy to compose music.
@MrHarjeetsangha2 ай бұрын
@@AliZarshan Ok but my question again is the same, where would the 5 or 10 millions Dollars were spent? He has his own production company, he is story writer , he did all the animation work. I know there are other people required to put the story and drawings together but still that work my be the only 30% of what he alone did to produce this film. Either there were travelling too much for marketing and showcase the movie of different animation platforms. if 10 millions Dollars were spent ,it is equal to 2,759,914,000 PAK rupees. Honestly, I liked his work very much and want to understand that how did he spent too much on an animated movie? when we proudly say that this Project was created locally in Indian or Pakistan, it also mean that it must have costed very less as compared to Western countries due to the high labour cost in Western Countries. I totally understand that it is still very cheap as compared to the animated movies made in US, like the average animated movie cost would be $50 millions USD. I just wanted to understand that from a knowledgeable and experienced person that where the most cost in animated movies go? In some Hollywood movies , they actually hire the big actors to play the animated roles and later change it to an animation.
