Some quick facts to dispel some of your confusion moving forward: -The lady that wants her husband dead worked under the Director of the school board that Yeon Jin's daughter goes to. The lady has no ties to Yeon Jin. The ripped papers that Dong Eun retrieves and pieces together from sifting through the trash over the course of 6 months were shredded love letters from his male driver (his secret gay lover) and the Director's paperwork dictating that he's placing the driver on his will as a beneficiary instead of his son, without his family's knowledge. This is what Dong Eun later uses at the end of this episode to blackmail the Director into allowing her move into the classroom she wants to teach in, without any possibility of her being removed down the road by outside forces. -"20,000 won" is roughly ~$20 CAD. It's not as big of a sum as it looks like. Most of the people in that Go playing room are business owners. It's chump change for them. -"300,000 won" is roughly ~$300 CAD. Korean currency is very deceptive if you haven't lived there lol. Also, I noticed that the subtitles used from Ep 1 and 2....are very tame, lol. The MyAsianTv website has episodes of these subbed with much more accurate wording (which includes a ton of cussing). I feel that it conveys their character alot better and all the much more refreshing when they get their just desserts.

THANK YOU for that information about the director, I was so confused on what the papers were, who she was talking about receiving the contents of the will, and also who Hyun-nam was married to. So Hyun-nam is married to the director who beat her and he is also the one who is in an affair with his gay lover? That's crazy lol how many scandals can you have in your life. I have seen people talk about how the Eng subs on Netflix aren't always the most accurate, which sucks because as a Netflix series you would think they would be better at translating their own show

@@RickyReviews Hyun-Nam's husband is just an unrelated drunkard there to drive the story forward with her tragic backstory in order to fuel her desire to work under Dong Eun. She worked for the Director at the time when she was working as their household's caretaker and happened to see Dong Eun's suspicious activities over the course of 6 months. I dont have a Netflix account so I dont know how their subs are, but once again, would highly recommend trying out the MyAsianTv website's version!

Thank you for this info! It makes a lot of sense why that law is in place, I had just never heard of such a law before. Also I wish public education teachers in the US were held in a higher regard as Korean teachers are, because as it stands they don't get paid enough, have to buy supplies for their students/themselves and are too overworked.

If you need something a little more wholesome after this (but VERY good) you should watch Move to Heaven. It’s about a father and son (son has autism) who are “trauma cleaners” and have to go into homes to clean up after someone has died. It’s a short series - a 10 episodes - but I guarantee after the very first episode you will be hooked. It has an 8.5 rating on IMDB and a 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

I've read so many horrific stories about bullying/kids from high school being tortured from different countries including the US and every time I learn about it it makes me sick to my stomach. I will never understand why people would do any of that to another human being

Why would you believe this woman works for Yeon-jin? This has not been indicated or shown at all. I would assume that it is illegal for teachers to tutor (for extra money) outside of school for the obvious reason that it is a conflict of interest. Students who don’t need extra tutoring won’t pay for it. Teachers who don’t have students who ned extra tutoring outside of school cant get that extra income. Ergo, it motivates teachers to ensure that students will not learn enough during regular school hours. Also, 20,000 Korean Won is about 15 bucks, so I doubt that is a huge source of income. .
