Thank you, Pastey! I have a question sir: What is the balance between power and authority? What role does prayer have in dispensing power? If we have authority, why do we still need to pray to dispense power. There's that scripture that says "this kind goeth not but by prayer and fasting..." speaking on casting out demons. But we don't pray to have authority over devils; it's solely a gift of grace. Help me out sir

Such a nice question I would love to contribute my knowledge in an attempt to answer. I believe prayer is the fuel that sets power in motion. Power is like a car engine it needs fuel which is prayer to run. That’s why we mostly say a prayerful person is a powerful person❤. Authority on the other hand is a higher version of power where just like Jesus and Paul in the story of the sons of Sceva your voice and name has been registered in the places that matter in that you don’t need a fuel for it to run in the case of power it has because a force on it’s own. I would say our authority is established as we continue to go higher in our dispensation of power in Christ. Thank you very much and I pray my contributions helps answer your question

Power and authority has no difference when use within context cause the English definitions are same Prayer is the design of every believer not necessary because of you are looking power, Power is as result of your fellowship with God We need prayer because that's supposed to be our lifestyle and the best way to explain this thing is 1. When you are given authority you must speak out for your message to be carried out by your subjects That scripture brings about that there's different kinds of oppression in the realms of the spirit for some 30mins prayer can do the work but some 1hr but it depends solely on the kind of warfare We don't pray to have authority over devil's, once you are constistent in God and obedient to his dealing they will come and casting out of devil is not the gift of grace..
