The GMC is back from the dead! It looks so good!

The 2024 GMC gets rebuilt from the huge fire back in fall of 2024. I puchased a completely new truck and combined the two to make this work the way I wanted. The results are a brand new regular cab short bed GMC Truck! I opted to swap out the LME engine and put in a brand new GM 6.6l iron block with a big cam, headers and prepping for a supercharger.

I like the engine combo, I think most people would go that route, more affordable than the last one, and can handle power. But I really wanted to see what could be done with the turbo setups. The truck being something nobody else has, the turbos definitely set it apart.

The engine has a heat exchanger on it. It only uses the outside water to cool off the coolant in that system. So you don’t get cross contamination and salt water issues in the block or parts.

Man this is such a cool build! I hate that we won’t get to see what the twin turbo 6.2 set up would have done. Yall had so much time and fabrication it was such a clean build. But this is going to be cool too big 6.6 I can’t wait to see what kind of power it is going to put down.

I put the LME VVT delete front cover with the single bolt cam in my ZL1 and it sheared the pin off the cam so I got the Texas Speed VVT delete kit with there 3 bolt cam and have not had any more problems. Had to replace both heads and internals due to that so just watch out using the single bolt cams as it got me.

For anyone wondering, I just swapped TCM in my 2023 Silverado to be tuned. Use a ct5 TCM and reprogram with MDI2 and it will work, just did it myself.

Hats of to you guys for all the hard work you guys put into these trucks but I still can’t wrap my head around what’s the point of all of it, just for the novelty of having a single cab 4wd v8 in the newest body style? After watching Cletus giveaways It’s a far less better platform than the f150s and that’s coming from a Chevy guy.

Would much rather see a twin turbo build. Those pesky F150s are going to be gapping this with a supercharger. It would be tough to hang with the turbo coyotes even with a larger displacement turbo LT but for a daily driver I guess go the easy route and keep it simple.
