So here it is. After four weeks of my computer eating shit over and over and my job in full swing again, the 9th episode has been released. I tried to fit in as many short skits under a minute as I could in this episode without it being TOO random. After all, random doesn't always mean funny.

Years later and I still get the gut wrenching laugh I once did. What a great show, displaying how creative minds can embrace the sandbox, and what a great one to begin with. Supreme goofiness, lighthearted humor, ridiculous and creativity, all in one, and I can only imagine that producing these was ultimately a joy. The work you put out and brought to life with your people will be one to remember. May the Gmod Idiot Box live on forever.

The key to successful humor is not taking oneself too seriously. So many people try way too hard to be funny, and what results is just...forced. That said, the former is what is so great about this series and why it's so damn funny, it's not trying too hard to be somethig it's not. Each episode was made just for a quick and stupid laugh and the creator knew it from the start and embraced it dearly, that mindset was the whole point of the series in general. Sure a joke or two here and there had been beaten to death already and weren't all that funny, and I do feel the earlier episodes are way better (then again, only so many episodes a creator can make of something like this without losing some integrity due to lack of creativity), but in the end I feel it was an awesome series, one that even years after it was made, I still find myself coming back and rewatching the whole thing back to back for hours.

It's always a blast-from-the-past when this shows up in my feed, sometimes it scares me how this feels like not too long ago. 10 years went by, and somehow I went from a kid to a new adult already signing my life away. Shits weird, and I have a feeling that a large part of my past is going to disappear. Although I don't understand why this video reminds me so much of my past, and why it makes me sad to think that when youtube inevitably goes away so will this video. But perhaps one day ill find this video again to remind me of a more innocent youth, where it seemed like there was nothing wrong with the world.
