This is awesome! I'm 48 and learned to ski last season. This season I'm skiing bumps and steeper trees. Hit some smaller natural jumps and the kiddie park for practice. I also DH MTB and took up dirt jump 2 years ago. Staying in shape and having the mindset of fun and progression is what life is all about!

Terrifying is the best way to describe it. I'm 37 and basically started skiing last year, now i'm trying to hit jumps with a goal of doing a 360 by the end of this season. It's so much fun but so fucking scary. That being said, way less scary than doing it on a bike.

Before Jesper broke the record for longest rail grind the previous record holder, Tom Wallisch, broke the record at his home mountain and my home mountain of 7 Springs in PA. Even though I'm a boarder I'm just proud that my little mountain in PA held that record.

It's never too late to learn. I maybe rode 5 times from the time I was 18 till 21. Now 34 last season was my first time back out and my first time ever trying to ride park. Never had more fun sucking at something! Haha Remember, we all fall, don't get discouraged and have fun!!

I'm in the same boat as you. Mid 40s and have snowboarded my whole life. My back can't take the clicking/unclicking the bindings all day anymore. Step in bindings and boots cost a fortune. Tempted to take up skiing but would have to learn something all over again.

Being a skier over 50 myself I have to say that freestyle is not out of the picture. I learned boxes, rails(just basic flat fat rail), safety, japan, shifty, Daffy 180 etc. last season. 360 is something I aspire to, but after total hip replacement (1 week ago) I am taking the rest of the season off.
