Loved and still love the Go Betweens met them in 1987 when they did an in store gig in HMV Oxford Circus when I worked there, lovely people. Lindy Morrison sat me on her knee whilst she and the rest of the group signed all my singles and LP's.

Love the strangeness of the lyrics of this ..... unrequited love meets zen acceptance. Lindy's drumming really makes it imo ..... then there are the lovely violin add-ins. One of my fave GB songs.

Since i´ve heard the album 16 lovers lane i love this band and robert forster. I´ve seen the new born gobetweens in schorndorf it must be the year 2002. the line up in the vid is so cool that i can´t sweat even in summertime. now i hear a lot of robert and nick cave. also some beautyful stuff of grant. the two heads has fixed the typical gobetweens sound but the two ladies have done the jobs of the men - the rhytm machine. the line up goes right to the velvet underground.
