I'm not sure what to make of the message. Seems to me that Peck sells his soul for his boss. He pawns his personal diamond ring and gets jerked around to buy a vase as a test. Sure, Peck get's a higher paying position, but I'm not sure what he ulitmately gets out of going far and beyond for his boss. The book seems more written out of the perspective from what a boss wants from a perfect employee rather than a personal growth story for Peck. Happy to discuss

Although it might seem like that, one can always consider that the goal was to prove to one’s self that there isnt a thing they cant do to achieve a goal or in this case fulfill an order. Once Gaining this power, its up to the person to decide how they wield it🤷🏻♂️

Peck put his mind to doing something and if you want to be successful you have to get done what you set your mind on by any means necessary. There was no stopping peck and this test was done before by someone who quite frankly broke a window and ran a mile with a vase to get it done. This test is only given to world class people. It was a test of tedious tasks to show his character and will to succeed.
