THE GO-GO'S: CRYPTO.COM ARENA, LOS ANGELES, MARCH 30, 2022! (4K)

THE GO-GO'S! This Go-Go's concert at the Crypto.com arena (formerly Staples Center) in downtown Los Angeles had been postponed twice due to Covid, so the third time was the charm. The Go-Go's are widely considered to be the most successful all-girls band of all-time as they are the only all-female band to have written their own songs and performed their own instruments and have a #1 album. The band, recently inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, features Belinda Carlisle (lead singer), Jane Wiedlin (rhythm guitar), Charlotte Caffey (lead guitar, keyboards), Kathy Valentine (bass guitar), and Gina Schock (drums). Unfortunately, Gina has not been performing lately due to health issues, but she did speak to the audience a couple of times. Clem Burke, the drummer for Blondie, substituted for her and did a great job.
I apologize for not having any good close-ups of the band, but I did have an unobstructed view and the audio was really good. I didn't film the entire concert. Some of the songs I filmed were the complete performance, others were not, but you certainly get a pretty good idea of what the concert was like. Enjoy!

I love for these Belinda or Go-Gos concerts, so thank you whoever filmed and posted this, but I hope it sounds much better in person because all too often, the Soundcheck people should be fired, because of the sound is just awful, not to be confused with their performance or voices! 🌟💖🕊️💫✨

You're welcome! I thought it was a great concert. After two postponements due to Covid, glad they got to perform, although I would have preferred to have seen them in one of the theaters they were previously booked in, instead of an arena, but happy to have finally seen them in concert.

I would have preferred in a theater as well, or to at least have had the opportunity to pick my seats in the arena. It was a great time, and I'm glad they finally got to play. I live on the east coast, so I'm hopeful maybe they'll do another mini-tour on this side of the country, so I can see Gina play as well.

Yes, the seat reassignments were not good. In the previous theaters, I had 1st floor seats in the middle facing the stage. In the Crypto.com arena, as you can see, I was on the second level facing the stage at an angle. I think I got screwed in terms of seat reassignment.

I know they are scheduled to play in the UK in October as the opening act for Billy Idol, but I don't think they are doing a major world tour, at least not this year.

@@AndysAwesomeAdventures unfortunately they're not playing the rescheduled Billy Idol dates in October (Television have stepped in instead). Shame, I was actually rather looking forward to the London show which was scheduled originally for a week ago today.

@@AndysAwesomeAdventures yeah, I'd only brought the ticket the day before then less than a day later it was announced that the Billy Idol tour was postponed as he's got MRSA (a next day cancellation, you can't make that one up!). And there wasn't any other European dates scheduled around the time of the planned UK dates. I do hope they come over at some point, it'd be a shame if they didn't capitalize on the current love for them on the back of the documentary film and the Hall of Fame. Brilliant video btw, cheers for uploading it. 🤘

Belinda stated in a March 2023 interview that the Go-Go's were done and they had decided after the RRHOF induction that they wanted to go out on top. There will be no 2024 Go-Go's tout.
