One of my favorite aspects of faker is that despite how he accomplished what no other player has and his name became synonymous with league of legends like Michael Jordan to basketball, faker has defined himself as a person by staying humble and hardworking, and being a real role model for aspiring young kids

I'm pretty sure it's Faker's dad from one of his early championships 40:16. It's been 7-10 years so he's aged quite a bit since then. The SK Telecom company behind SKT1 reportedly put a good amount of effort into helping out Faker's family when they can, so it wouldn't be a surprise if they helped organize his dad to attend one of the championships and have some footage of him from that time.

To be specific, the shot is from Faker's first domestic championship in 2013 Summer. Also, Faker and T1 won the 1st EWC (E-Sports World Cup) for League this summer after MSI. So he's added EWC, a 5th trophy and a 2nd Finals MVP (only player to do so), his own skin in the game, Mercedes gifted him a custom AMG SL-63 (totaled over $200k if I remember right) as well as another milestone/record for 500th kill at Worlds (most of any player). Mans is truly not of this Earth. Fun fact, without knowing who wins Worlds 2025, Faker will have 1/3 of all Worlds trophies, assuming T1 don't win, which is insane.

If you want to watch shorter videos like this from Worlds, I recommend seeing the semifinals and final's presentations of 2023 and 2024. The organisation records both teams in epic trailers days before the match and show them to the public in the arenas/stadiums moments before the real match. Even if you don't plan to record yourself, they are worth seeing.

If you haven't already I can only recommend to react to the Trailers for each match of Worlds this Year, the production quality is the same as this one. Imo Faker is basically the Undertaker (from WWE) of League of Legends, always there even if he get's up there in age for his profession and respected by everyone and both put on their best performances at the biggest show of the year (Worlds/Wrestlemania)

T1's win in 2023 took 7 years from the 3rd win in 2016.😊 A LCS Caster/analyst called out in Worlds 2024 this year that if they split Faker's career from 2013 to 2022 then 2023-2024, his wins in those 2 eras will make him top 1 and 2. So basically, he is competing against himself in wins and records because he is still actively playing.

The most incredible thing about Faker's career is that you could literally cut his accomplishments in half and he would STILL be comfortably in first place. He is the GOAT and the 2nd GOAT. It's very likely that he will never be surpassed. League has already been around for over a decade, and simply because of the time he has played, the chances of anyone even having enough time in the game's remaining lifetime to repeat, let alone surpass Faker's records is very unlikely. Faker is one of the very rare cases in a competitive environment where there basically is no discussion or argument over who is the GOAT. It's essentially unanimous. I hope that Faker retires when his contract ends after next year - not because I want to see him stop playing, but so he can enjoy his life and retirement in whatever way makes him the happiest. The dude has single-handedly carried LoL esports for over a decade and he deserves some peace and rest. If he ever starts a family of his own, the world will not be ready for what that offspring is capable of.

You should try to play League again, now it's easier than ever, the game now automatically gives you templates of runes suitable for each champion, and not only that, each template explains what that set of runes is for in game. The item store has also changed, now it recommends you what to get for each champion, seriously, nowadays the game is easier than ever to learn.
