It actually will sever way more then 5 targets because the rounds have blast radius so anything hit by the blast radius in a cluster of enemies will be severed.

For Bold Endings, I went for this particular roll the moment I saw it: Headstone and Golden Tricorn. The reason being it pairs perfectly with Stasis Titan and its insane crystal generation. Any crystal from any ability will proc to trigger Golden Tricorn x2, and Headstone just tacks on even more for Tectonic Harvest and Whisper of Shards to feed off of. I recommend just going all into range and reload on this thing as it doesn’t move even at 34 stability.

For No Hesitation concerning Circle of Life: from my own testing, the buff applies alongside physic and it is a 37% damage increase. If youre leaning into the physic style of play then circle of life, it is the only way to go imo. Same with No Hesitation which I believe has some hidden buff where it does more damage than other adaptive 600s on top of the 10% from the support frame. Circle of Life also gives a 25% buff that stacks with the frame giving a 37.5 buff which then drops to that 25% when the support frame buff goes away. Incandescent is still maybe the way to go for solo use but Circle of Life is very worth having in fireteams.

The Call with Beacon Rounds and One for All has quickly become my favorite Pale Heart weapon. As soon as you get one kill, you can just spam hipfire and delete entire rooms. I've also been enjoying No Hesitation with Physic and Attrition Orbs for a dedicated support roll.

That's almost as you said, but problem is, for example, having Beacon Rounds active will become pain in ass when you'll try to kill shielded enemies, like cabal ones. projectiles will just hitting shields, so i prefer lead from gold in case of always have decent ammount of ammo

On No Hesitation: Circle of Life is a 25% bonus to damage for 10 seconds, and it stacks with the intrinsic frame perk giving you a total boost of 37.5% bonus damage while both are active. the frame's boost only lasts 5 seconds though.

The MG (Pro Memoria) is the first of its archetype and 600 RPM (adaptive is 450) slightly better DPS and is actually fairly controllable. Definitely worth a pickup as an add clear tool. Better than the other Strand MGs so far. Actually puts out respectable DPS at good range too, a great legendary option for Tormentors in the new Raid

My literal first drop for no hesitation was physic and incandescent, my first drop for the call was demolitionist and golden tricorn. I have gotten good rolls this expansion and it’s crazy for once. My roll for the two shot heavy burst void hand cannon was destabilizing rounds and repulsor brace. My pro memoria was reconstruction and frenzy, then my next one was reconstruction and desperate measures. The weapons are so good this expansion.

I always enjoy when coverage on subfamilies/elements that haven’t had a refresh in a while get noted. Axial Lacuna being the first solar Precision Frame since RW being what was noted here, which genuinely shocked me. Something else I feel is worth noting is False Idols is the first solar Vortex Frame available to all classes, period. Prior to that was the Warlock-only Eternity’s Edge from Red War, later reissued with random rolls in Season of the Splicer. ALL of those Solar swords from last year were Adaptive, and Titan’s got Throne Cleaver. Based on the model being similar to Hero of Ages, I totally thought Defiance’s Caretaker was going to be the first all-classes Solar Vortex Frame, but it was not. Obviously Ergo Sum can roll as Solar and vortex, but for legendaries, False Idols is the only one.

Here are my thoughts for the PVE side of things: The Call - If you want an Indebted Kindness version of this weapon, Lead from Gold (LFG) and pair it with either Desperate Measures, Vorpal, Golden Tricorn or One For All (sure you have to hit 3 separate targets to proc OFA but whos asking?). For Abilities, SFA + OFA, For Nade builds, Demo + Adrenaline Junkie? Or classic Strand Builds with Slice + Vorpal or Hatchling. Bold Endings - Headstone is a must have perk on this weapon if your using Stasis. The fourth column perk choice is players preference. Someday - Nothing really screams out at me with this one, but for PVE play, Assault Mag is a must (not sure how good it is today), as for the perks, LFG and Recombination could be the best bet for PVE. No Hesitation - SOOOOO MANY DECENT CHOICES HERE! The absolute, no brainer roll is Physic and Circle of Life for PVE Teamplay, sure you may be missing on extra damage, but if you choose to go the extra damage route, Overflow or Substistence + Incandescent is probably gonna be your best bet. Embraced Identity - (BUNGIE SCREWED US OUT ON the GOD ROLL COMBO OF RECONSTRUCTION AND RECOMBINATION WITH THIS ONE!) At least we got Reconstruction on this one, so I'm probably looking at Rewind Rds or Reconstruction and pair it with FTTC, Percision Instrument, or Box Breathing (sure Box Breathing is bad these days, but I would still consider it). Axial Lacuna - If you want to create a Scattered Signal 2.0 version of this weapon, I'm going with Arrowhead Brake, Accelerated Coils, Reconstruction (backup to Overflow) and Controlled Burst. Pro Memoria - Remember Commemoration from DSC? Yeah we finally have some competition! My top choice for this one is Reconstruction or Envious Assassin + Bait and Switch. False Idols - Nothing really screams out at me with this one, I say Player Preference on this one!

For bold endings, dragon fly doesn’t explode the crystal created by headstone for a single target but if a lot of ads are grouped up then it’s awesome. A lot of videos will say to use headstone and golden tricorn/ demolitionist/ desperate measures but their videos are only done in easy content. In expert or master content I definitely like having headstone and dragonfly for the extra damage proc when multiple ads bunch up. I also play warlock so I can’t get kills with stasis abilities so I can only get up to one stack.

Datto, I enjoyed your viewpoint on the Salvation Edge raid and how it affected you. That was certainly a very tough raid but I’m glad you made it thru. And I like you viewpoint here on weapon roles. I feel you have become less of the Elitist and become more of a Realist. I’ll just say on The Call, I’ve really enjoy the Beacon Rounds / Vorpal for general PvE play - especially in The Pale Heart to help drive down mini-boss and boss health and not have to be keeping track as to whether I proc’d a perk. Good mindless go to for me. But I appreciate your viewpoint on the other perks on the additional weapons to consider as I finish up the plan acquisition for them.

Desperate Measures has been REALLY shining since the introduction of Prismatic. I run it on both The Call and Pro Memoria and my Prismatic setup uses lightning surge with arcane needle for 3 charges. One lightning surge into a group of adds usually procs DM x3 and then you can just slay out, it feels GREAT.

The roll I've been using has slice and vorpal, and since I'm wearing the Stag, I'm constantly using my class ability. I'll probably swap vorpal out for something else once I'm able to craft the gun, but it's still not a bad roll. Pro Memoria is also ridiculous. I've only gotten one to drop so far but man did I get a great roll, reconstruction + dragonfly. It immediately replaced my god roll Circular Logic.

My first Call rolled with Becon Rounds and Adrenaline Junkie, it’s remained in its slot ever since. Coupled with High Velocity rounds and Volatile Launch, this is basically a rocket launcher but with bullets, the rate of fire is ridiculous bosses are down before you’ve even battled them. I can honestly say this is the best Legendary Side Arm I’ve ever used, including Destiny in the old wars. The thing is relentless killing wise, once you start hitting targets it goes full send and wipes everything out with ease. ❤

It's an easy mistake to make based on the way the perk is talked about, but vorpal doesn't increase damage against majors, only minibosses and ultras. If you know that already, then disregard this!

With Pro Memoria, I use envious assassin and target lock. With a huge magazine complicity of 228 rounds. You never need to reload and with target lock. You can easily out damage anyone on the fireteam. Provided you don’t miss your shots.

I have a dragon fly headstone bad endings and it’s a great work horse weapon if you use it with stasis or prismatic to get the bigger/better shatter damage, but I just wish the dragon fly explosion exploded the crystal but the crystal spawns after the explosion maybe bungo will fix it but probably not

Slice is good on the call for exactly punch hunter. It has no cooldown so you always have it, it makes you effectively tankier, and it helps you get stylish executioner from range with no setup required. I went max blast radius with slice and ofa and it really does everything, never have ammo issues even with double special since you punch so much stuff that you arent constantly spamming it

The nice thing about False Idols is it’s a Solar Vortex sword that’s not locked to Warlock, so all classes can use one now.

The Call feels like one of those rare guns that is best in slot. Can't go wrong with any roll because they are all good. I haven't taken off the Call since getting it. Feels so good to use.

Things Datto didnt mention or overlooked: Slice x5 means your next 5 shots will sever, not 5 shots in order to sever. Pro Memoria isnt just the first 600 rpm strand MG. It's the first aggressive frame MG in d2 outright. False idols is the only legendary solar vortex frame. Ergo sum is the only other solar vortex option.

I absolutely love the rework for high ground, being able to build stacks by just kills like rampage but having the ability to get 3x stack if you’re 1-2 meter above a target (25% more damage) for free is hard to say no to

Pro Memoria is my new ad clear weapon on my strand hunter build. I know how good Quicksilver storm is but tbh I just dont like it. The fact that Pro Memoria has hatchling AND dragonfly means I get to do even more green explosions, and its just so much more fun

On solar surge week for raids, I will say attrition orbs/bait and switch was pretty fun with False Idols on Harold. You make so many orbs with wolfpack rounds to top everyone off on armor charge, especially while rockin Argent Blade

I HIGHLY recommend Air Trigger on the Bold Endings for anyone who dislikes the reload speed even with Rapid Hit. Yes you have to jump and it can be awkward but the amount of reload it gives you (I believe is also a scalar) is just too good not to at least try out. If Headstone and Dragonfly worked together better I would have stuck with that but I fell in love with just how good the reload speed Air Trigger gives. Put everything else into range to make it feel very sticky for headshots (pulls AA cone forward IIRC).

My stasis renewal grasp hunters get bold endings with headstone demo and make sure you have whisper of chains and you have almost infinite grenades. Headstone demo is an UNBELIEVABLELY RARE perk combo and theres 1 maybe 2 other weapons you could get rn with that perk combo.

Just an FYI for The Call, it seems to be bugged with golden tricorn on pristmatic. If you get a strand ability kill it wont give the stacks to get to x3, rather you just need a matching super (so a strand super) and you can use ANY ability kill to proc golden tricorn up to x3.

I’m liking False Idols with BnS + Attrition Orbs because the orbs keep your armor charges up and also recharge Cayde’s Retribution on Still Hunt. And Pro Memoria, Recon + BnS, I pretty much use it like a big mag add clear machine gun until there’s a chunky enemy like a tormentor I need to pop shoulders on. Then I proc BnS.

I've been running around with subsistence and incandescent on no hesitation. There are times so many things go boom that I never reload. On higher difficulty, that may not work as well.

I'm gonna defend False Idols. The incandescent chain reaction role is some of the most fun with a sword in a hot bit. Crafted with enchanced perks, one swing can knock out a good sized group. Its just such a fun sword. For boss i think we all know whats still taking top spot. But for a general ad clear/fun sword its one of my new favorites next to quickfang

Embraced Identity can get 7 in the Mag with Appended and Back-Up Mag, btw. It's 100% a Void Supremacy and is what I'm using for Boss DPS with Dragon's Breath and Hazardous Propulsion.

I crafted my 'The Call' in the 3rd column with Enhanced Beacon Rounds and in the 4th column, I'll change it if I use it to add clear with 'One for All' or DPS with 'Vorpal Weapon'. I'm say this, Rocket Sidearms are crap without 'Beacon Rounds' and this perk should have been built into the gun. My 'Bold Ending' I crafted with in the 3rd colum 'Attrition Orbs' and in the 4th colum 'Dragon Fly'. My 'Someday' I crafted with in the 3rd colum 'Threat Detector' and in the 4th column 'Recombination' and or 'Vorpal Weapon'. When I do craft 'No Hesitation' I'll craft it with in the 3rd column 'Subsistence' or 'Physic' and in the 4th column 'Frenzy' or 'Surrounded' or 'Circle of Life'. I crafted my 'Embraced Identity' in the 3rd column with 'Reconstruction' or I'll switch with 'Rewind Rounds' and in the 4th column 'Precision Instrument' When I do craft my 'Axial Lacuna' in the 3rd column it'll be with 'Reconstruction' and in the 4th column 'Controlled Burst' or 'Frenzy' or 'Vorpal Weapon' or 'Surrounded' When I craft my 'Pro Memoria' in the 3rd column it'll be with 'Reconstruction' or 'Envious Assassin' and in the 4th column ''Frenzy' or 'Target Lock' or 'Bait & Switch' (I'm not a fan for this perk, but I'll give it a try). When I do craft my 'False Idols' in the 3rd column it'll be with 'Relentless' and in the 4th column 'Vorpal Weapon' or 'Surrounded'.
