Michael was a man who had a plan and a dream. That dream was Kay Admas. She was the only woman he loved with his heart and cared about. That is why he pushed her away from him and his family when mafia war began. After he committed murders he had to flee to Sicily Months were passing by and song Loneliness begins to play. Michael is walking through Sicily with Calo and Fabricio. Speak softly love begins to play. Michael is thinking about Kay. He wipes the tear of his left eye. Don Tomassino's car pulls up Michael " When can I come back home did Sonny say " Don Tomassino:" Sonny said your enemies know that you are in Sicily ".. In otherwords you are not coming back anytime soon and also....lay low. He kept walking and he saw good looking chick. He got thunderbolt aka eraction. Thunderbolt is not romantic feeling which is why her father ran into his Cafe when he realized that chick filled in all the right places was his daughter. There is no sex in Sicily before marriage so to satisfy his desire he has to marry her. He chased Apollonia in the middle of the mafia war, conned her into marrying him at the hight of the danger and killed her with the wedding... He deliberately put her in danger and he said nothing. He knew he was putting her in danger....they found him, everybody knew he was in Sicily noone knew where. Village circus of their wedding during which Michael was completely detached is how they found him, is what killed her. He did bc he didn't care..... In a book he admitted it....using exactly those words, con and care. He threatened to murder her father if he tells anyone about him hiding there He didn't give a fuck if she knew he was a criminal hiding from the police coming from the mafia family He never told his parents he met her, noone knew he got married He came into her house disheveled and with armed bodyguards. He didn't come to speak to her or get to know her, he didn't even bother to say hello. He made her an offer which she goldigger she was couldn't refuse. " Wedding was set up in two weeks bc she thought he was rich "..... sentence from the book perfectly captured in a movie. He never looked at her during wedding. After sex he was over it. Pass the bedroom scene there is nothing between them .... he didn't hug her, kiss her, touch her, barely looked at her..... he is teaching her how to drive a car bc she asked him, bc he promised her. But Michael doesn't want to and it's not going very well.... she is profoundly stupid Michael only cares about speaking to Don Tomassino because Don brings messages from US. He laughed at the idea that she wanted to be American wife.... He came home and he is speaking to his father in a backyard....( deleted scene) " Pop, what about Sonny, what about Sicily. If we don't respond isn't family gonna be weak "... Not even mentioning her, not even saying her name let alone addressing her as his wife He is worried about his family. He offered himself to save them... So, what about Sicily? Well Barzini tried to kill him but he got away. I wouldn't behave like that if a dog with flees died bc of me or instead of me He waited more than a year to make sure it was safe, he made a plan to legitimize the business by taking over Moe's casino and than and only than he went to New England to get Kay, only woman he loved . A woman he thought about while he was with Apollonia. Kay and Michael were engaged to be married. A woman he didn't wanna married without introducing her to his family first.... They are sitting at the table.... Johnny Fontana walks in. He begins to sing --- I got but one heart --- Michael takes Kay's hand and says " Listen to a song ". Song continues --- You are the only dream I pray it comes true--- Michael turns around and looks at Kay... That is why goldigger died without Michael feeling quilty conciences.... so Michael can live and be with his dream. He is under severe emotional pressure. Together with his father he was collecting an army to execute mass murder. He was dreading the moment he took over the family. After his father told him " Women and children can be careless men can not "... he turned himself into a savage animal. That was the moment he decided to wack all 4 families so no Mafia war would ever happen again. He took his wife out for dinner and play on the first day he officially became Don, as he is fighting for his life. He stood the godfather to Connie's kid bc of Kay He operated his face bc of Kay " I can't believe how good you look , look at that face, did Kay had something to do with that " says Fredo to Michael When Kay kept insisting on telling her whether he committed murder he screamed No.... pushing her away from that world was the only way to protect her from horrors he committed and prevent her from becoming an accomplice. " Kay, I did what I could to protect you from horrors of this word "... says Michael to Kay Apollonia died he came home and told Kay he loved her and cared about her. Lived happily with his wife and his children as he himself admitted to his father. Kay left he got diabetes, aged over night, stopped smoking drinking killing, never took the ring of his finger or touched another woman for the rest of his life. That is gf2 Now at the end of the book Michael calls Kay his Don " You are my Don" Which is amazing bc when Michael started declaring love to her in a movie.... " I came bc I need you , care about you. I will do anything to make up for what happened to us. Kay I love you ".... at that moment song " New Don " is playing. He told Kay " I want you to marry me " He told Vitteli " Your daughter will get a husband ".... meaning someone to DO HER bc Michael needs to do. So, what were we supposed to think about your " analysis "

I didn’t pay attention to everyone’s names when I first tried to watch it and I turned the movie off before the movie answered some of the loose ends. I actually like the movie now.
