The price is accurate to this brand. I´ve looked and $50 is what all the other books have been sold for. And, just by research, they´re AMAZING. Personally, I want to own the DC and Game of Thrones ones. That being said, I can get the anger. As you said: it is a pop out book. That´s what most should have been.

With all the supplemental “documents” and info, the book was clearly aimed primarily at Godzilla fans (and somewhat casual ones, judging by the lack of deep cuts as MIB says), while most of the negative reviews are by disappointed pop-up enthusiasts first and foremost, which is understandable, based on the low number of _actual_ pop-ups 😐 But for the right audience, this book could be a lot of fun. Heck, if I had a spare $40 i’d buy it to add to my Goji library, but for now imma keep an eye on it to see if it gets just a wee more affordable 😉

While the book does seem pretty mid for a pop-up book, gotta admit I really like all the documents and cards you can take out and read. Lowkey reminds me of the Ology book series (e.g. Dragonology, Mythology etc.) that had similar interactive pieces included, and honestly, I think a Godzilla-themed entry in that series would be awesome, as much of a pipe dream as it probably is.
