@@TaccoDienstag I recall how back in the day people were making character analysies, focusing on the themes and theorising on stuff like the true nature of cursed energy, like cast your eyes back to how JJK discource was at the start of the culling games for instance. The shinjuku showdown certainly has flaws, personally i am not the biggest fan of the specifics behind how Sukuna's strength was handled, but it feels like people delibirately ignore how amazing the coreography, payoff to foreshadowing going back to the start of the series and constant back and forth in the whole thing is. It's like half the fanbase seems to hate the manga, but they still keep reading it and talking about it as if Gege is holding a gun to their head?!

I'm not sure when i started reading, i think it was right during Makis arc, even before cursed spirit Naoya appeared. And every time there were theories about Yuji, kenjaku, Sukuna etc. And most of all people were excited about the fights, and to see the cast show off a bit. Now people have reiterated the same memes and slander so much, that they actually started believing that all those memes about Fraudkuna, bumgumi etc. are true. But what I really hate is people saying gege fell off, only for them to say its peak kaisen three chapters later, then they go back to complaining. It's been on repeat for almost a year, and i've started to really dislike the current community. I think it's mostly the people who only started coming in during chapter 223, because they wanted in on the hype. Although at the same time, they haven't read any prior chapter and completely ignore established concepts. They don't even have patience anymore. Every secret or a binding vow/power has to be explained in detail immediatly, otherwise it's bad writing to them.

I understand when a popular character dies, people get upset. But what I don't understand is wanting them to come back. If Gojo's death serves a purpose in the story, wouldn't it feel cheap to have him back? But no. People want their sexy white-haired sensei back. I liked Gojo and I was sad about Choso's death too. True. But the same goes on the other way to about those who stand for Sukuna, right? They stand for him because they 1) find him cool and is the definition of hedonism-even tho he eat women and kids for dessert 2) they're pissed because Gojo take all the light- even Gege felt the same for the latter-so natural a counter pop stream arise against the main one. The fanbase thing in itself is as trivial as that. You cannot point out the problem of one side without mentioning the other is tantamount-just take a look at this comment section about how passionate ppl are Sukuna. For my concern, Gojo had to come back for the sake a the arc, last development-the strife between Gojo vs Sukuna is about them and the arc at the same time, that serves as a canvas for every characters to evolve and died if needed. Megumi seems to have to come back, the merger need to happen, meaning Sukuna will have to shift body to merge w Tengen body. So far no one is strong enough not only to defeat Sukuna but also to face the merger. Gojo's power is needed. The 6 eyes and limitless are needed, as we have seen they're the only obstacle to the Sukuna, the same way Mahoraga was for Gojo. But more importantly, Yuji evolution need to be cooked a bit longer-everything happening so far has leading him to become stronger to defeat his twins-to land the final blow. Yuta second that and become the one caring the will of Satoru just like Sukuna caries Kenjaku will rn. The only reason Gojo (his rizz) died (or his off screen) is because the story is not about his character, but his power, as a weapon is still needed-only the ceiling of power can stand against the most dangerous ominous curse.

Honestly I think people wanted him to have a better character conclusion. The execution by Gege was kinda funky. Choso has a better executed death. Wasn't about shock value to off screen to send to airport and had a nice moment with Yuji. I lowkey wanted him to be like Toji that died and came back temporarily had a nice conclusion with Megumi. Idk just something more since it was a bit underwhelming.

What i personally think is that you can't completly judge a manga untill is finished. If you take individual chapeter or events without the whole picture you can't really appreciate the story. Another thing this is gege story, so he can do what he want, we can only give some opinion on how to continue the story, we can't force him to do what we want. People are getting too much attached to things that doesn't really exist. One last thing, everyone has different taste ,so one person can like the story and someone else not.

The Gojo’s Past arc shows how he became the man he is today, with the pain he experienced through the loss of Geto and the defeat by Toji. The recent chapters provide more depth to his character and show who he was before his death. The references to Buddha highlight his cold demeanor. It's not just about him overshadowing other characters in the series, but rather about him being the strongest and serving as a role model to everyone. People admire him because they want to be as strong as him. Gojo and Sukuna are, in my opinion, beyond special grade, providing both positive and negative reasons to look up to them. Gojo's powers are boring because they mostly do nothing visually. Infinity should be presented with a dolly zoom around Gojo, Blue and Red should warp the perspective. They miss seeing him on screen and want him back with his students 2. They want him to comeback and help his students to erase the isolation he's felt 3. Now the other side of things, people such as OGDaffy, No Operator, Seth the programmer, Blaziken anime, eternal flame and few others all set up reasons as to why Gojo shouldn't be back in the story and they all generally use the same conclusions, which is Gojo's power. Gojo's actual characterization as a person seemingly comes second to some of the people I've named but no one really says anything as they are about lean on "story consistency and plot resolution" People pretend that they care about Gojo's character arc as long as they can dunk on the fact that he's because they don't like how his fans want him back in the story. And to be honest that's fair to degree, because these same people do the exact same kinda stannin for Sukuna everyday all day and relish in the fact it's taking so much to defeat him all the while ignoring some of the bullshit Gege has been able slide in or use a flash back to justify instead properly showing it. A lot of people are as see Gojo as to to beat Sukuna, or a tool they don't want against Sukuna because of all sorcerers that are still around.

No I do think hes a weak story teller, Its more character driven , shock factor that is carried by how well in depth he writes the characters. But I do have problems certain plot points that were dropped, characters who were introduced to and they die the same chapter, its not as bad as chainsaw man in that aspect. The fights for the most part carry the series , i think the power system is 2nd to Nen HXH but I do think with regards to where were at in the story with Sakuna and such i do think the fight is dragging quite a bit, and id like a resolution soon. I also Thought Gojo and Saukuna were going to fight again so him coming back didn't surprise me, but he didn't come back the way i thought he would. But i was hoping he didn't, Yuji imo is not the best written MC, but i also think him being a black slate lets other character shine more if that makes any sense. I don't like that he basically just becomes fodder. im tired of the Flash back and multiple 1000s of contingency plans they conveniently had.

I always found the story to be better when gojo isn't there. Shibuya was great because he wasn't there, culling games was great because he wasn't there. Gojo to me was just a typical sensei at the beginning of every story that's strong but will later be killed or surpassed for the others to grow. Having him come back now even though it's yuta seems like a waste of time cause we all know yuta will fail and at best just weaken sukuna to the point where yuji will finish him off where it would have been better if all the students were jumping him instead and they win that way.
