I had the blessing of visiting the museum several years ago. While the gold was impressive the spiritual depth of the people was even more impressive to me. They understood the inner sounds and inner worlds.

I remember visiting the gold museum back when I was a kid in the mid-70's. I was so disappointed that my father said we only had time to see a few things. I’m in my 50's now and I still wish I could go back and finish that tour.

This museum is incredible. The artifacts are beautiful and the background information very interesting. I am so glad I went there, took a tour and got to see these wonderful pieces. Bought several replicas of the jewelry and enjoy them to this day. Very well crafted copies of the originals in the museum. I very much enjoyed the highlight of the museum, the last, the circular room. It was incredible

The video made me think of something that I had previously overlooked, and that is, that the yellow color of the flag represents gold and thanks to this metal the symbolic pretenses that are part of the cosmology of many of the native indigenous peoples are made. On the other hand, it is also important to know the indigenous tribes that make these pieces, such as the importance it had, for example, for the pre-Columbian civilizations of the region. Something very important that I learned is about the caciques and the pieces (expansions and nose ring) with which they were recognized. I also learned that the importance of the color yellow was in the Sun and that this great star was considered the most important God, since it gave food and life; on the other hand, corn is also yellow and has been part of the diet of pre-Hispanic people to this day.

Background music poorly chosen (carribbean afro oriented) it should have been more of the flute heavy andean indigenous music of the region.
