Terrific 5 is a beast. Used to have a 5.0 copy myself but had to trade it for another golden age purchase. I was fortunate enough to get a cap 1 10 years ago, and smart enough to keep it. Tom, good luck getting a copy! It's worth it.

Don't go halfsies on a grail together. There's only one way it ends and that's with Tom and the Guru fighting to the death in a treehouse with Fire Guy Ryan tied up in a chair, and the comic flies out into a storm where it's destroyed by a dog and struck by lightning. Trust me, I've seen it happen before.

Do bondage covers owe a lot to the earlier popularity of Houdini? Grails are comics that complete a run, or are very rare AND a great read. Rare alone means little if you don't enjoy having it or reading it.

Only golden age I have left is Action Comics 37 in VG raw. Sold all my EC's (regretfully) a few years ago. You guys need to both get Cap 1 and setup a visitation schedule.

My grail i owned but SOLD!!!!! Coverless complete Motion Picture Funnies Weekly 1 with trimmed Marvel Comics 1 cover. From the publisher estate of Lloyd Jacquet as featured in the auction catalog: Sotheby's December 18, 1991, page37. The book somehow ended up in a comic book store in Berkeley: Comic Relief!! I ended up selling this directly to the CEO of Metropolis Comics at SDCC in 1996/1997 maybe?? when i was once a full time comic dealer. Have been in touch with Vincent and not idea or record whom the new buyer is!!!! The most regretful sale PERIOD!!!!

I went through HELL getting a copy of Suspense 3, looked for ages to find one in mid-grade, finally bought an ugly 2.5, I do mean ugly, w/ stains and the bottom corner missing. But you know, it's a very rare comic and another might not come along for many, many years. Then one day out of the blue, about 3 months later, a RAW VF+ copy fell into my lap from a mystery and horror collection buy. It was one of 4-5 Golden age horror books, all of them with prominent swastikas on the covers (I'm not judging), and the guy was just looking to get them the hell out of his house. They had been a relative's comics and he was freaked out by them to the point he would have taken nearly anything to get rid of them. 😆🙄 Snowflakes.
