My theory is that the neighbor had a wife and a child, and the wife took the child and left the neighbor. The neighbor was heartbroken and wanted to spend more time with children, so he became a teacher. Teaching the children wasn't enough, so he decided to kidnap a child and take care of it as his own. So he kidnapped a child from a supermarket and maybe the "player" saw him kidnap the child and wanted to prove it. Or maybe the player was the kidnapped child and escaped one day and came back as an adult to find out why he was kidnapped. I'm sorry if this doesn't make much sense, it's 1:00am right now and I'm really tired.

My theory is that the nabour worked at a supermarket with his wife, before the married, they ended up going to the same collage and they got jobs at the Alpha 3 high-school with his wife. they ended up pregnant. While they we're fixing up the room for the new baby his wife died. that's the ending room. So the Grey child is the son, but the son and wife died. So the school room in the first build was his wife's room, she was a 1st grade teacher or 3rd looks like. that's why they always wanted a kid.

Theory: The neighbor's wife divorced him and took their kid with her, so the neighbor cries about how he was alone, so then he made a deal with the devil (or maybe not) and decided to kidnap a child and woman to be his new wife and child (or maybe they are the same wife and child) thus helping with proof in another build in the basement! And one day the neighbor had to kill both of them for trying to escape (from proof in another build!) and now for the new ending of him crying, he is crying over the death of his wife and child! Boom, I"m proud of this theory!

My theory is that in the supermarket, our neighbor was getting groceries and met a employee who became his wife. They had a child, and the neighbor made a deal with the devil and killed his wife. That's why we see a kid crying. And, if you scan the QR code, it says something like I had to hide it from them. He killed his wife, hid the body, and hid his child from society. That's why you hear knocking. He was probably traumatized by something and didn't know how to react, thus making his deal. And when you go through his house, the only logical reason he would chase you down is because you're trying to save his son. Also, when you beat the game, I think he's crying because he just killed his wife and he put his son in the other room, that's why there's that shadow. And all the kid could do was listen through the door. Also, the reason that there's probably boxes in that scene when you beat the game is because they had to move since he killed his wife.

this is my theory: I think the neighborh had a wife and a kid. the neighborh was a teacher and his wife was a cashier or something to deal with working at a grocery store. then one day, the neighborh (I'm gonna call him Bob) was sick of all the kids at his school and took something's so he would be calm. then he took it too Far and went phycotic, and murdered the children, quit, police never cought him, then murdered his family, and no one found out besides the bobs neighborhs (he killed them as well). thats why he is trying to kill you and keep you out of his house. and he made a deal with the devil so no one will know what he's been doing or has done. but he left all of hi sons things, but there has been no sign of his wifes things YET, maybe he hated her because he is a phyco and takes thing that wrong way. I saw a theory that while the neighbour is at work his son, who is in high school, gets sick and they take him to hospital then he dies and that's when the church comes in. My theory is that the neighbours wife is very sick and while she is at work collapses and the neighbour takes her to the hospital then goes and picks up his son from school, later they find out that, that she has passed then have a funeral service for her. Your the son. Or maybe the neighbour kills the wife and the son knows we this that's why u have such a hard time with the neighbour because he was either a bad father after your mothers death or murdered the mother.

When you turn off your shadows you can't see it through the keyhole which is what you're supposed to do at the end because all you will see is the shadow not the model that casts it!

The didn't release the complete house because they want to save that for the Full Game. Don't you remember that in Alpha 2, the upstairs wasn't finished, as well as in Alpha 1. They have probably already finished building those houses and in the full game you might be able to choose different levels with different houses or it's like a story where you travel to different houses ad try to beat the neighbor. And the ending will probably be way different and harder to get to.

If you remember that cut scene in Alpha 1 where the Neighbour goes into the barricaded door to the basement, there's a car crash while he's in there. I think it's more likely that he had a family, say a wife and single child, and he was in a car crash where he survived, but the rest of his family didn't. If you're theory that something bad happened to the Neighbour at The Golden Apple, then maybe that was where his car crash happened, or on the way to/from it or on the road in front. If he'd made some mistake in his driving, say going too fast or cut off a truck on the road in front of the market while turning out of the market and lost his family in the crash, he could very well blame himself and do all kinds of crazy things to try and bring his family back, whether it's crazy science experiments to try and bring back the dead, alla Frankenstein, or doing some sort of dark, necromantic magic, making deals with the devil, or even just kidnapping people who resemble his family in his mind, that sort of thing could very well set him off. The Alpha 3 ending is seeing into his mind the pain he's holding back behind his craziness, or him finally realizing he can't get his family back and everything in his world is now crashing down, or peering into the past and what he was doing when he found out his family had died, such as they weren't dead at the scene in the car crash, but died later on in hospital. That would actually tie in both the supermarket and the hospital to a possible story. The factory could tie in in several ways, either he worked there at some point, or if we carry on with that car crash theory, maybe it was a truck from that factory that he crashed into. The church could tie in as the place where his family was buried and where the funeral was held. The school could be where his child went, or he could be a teacher there, or was at some point. Given his knowledge of security systems, he could have been a security guard at any of the locations in the game, the school, supermarket, factory or hospital. Of all the places, I'd say the market, factory and hospital would be the most likely to want high tech security. If it's the school, he could have been a science or electronics teacher.

+Bijuu Mike you can get things from blocked doors heres how: 1.keep zooming in to the key holes like 5-10 times. 2.look down and you should see your feet like your really small 3.then you can look through the locked doors, walls but not the keyhole like through the door just put your face against the wall. 4. if theres a door blocking the other side then just press the button to grab an item then you can unlock the door! 5. You dont need no mods (: If you put this in a vid or test it out ~Enjoy!

what if all of the builds are actually events in a sequential timeline? If this is true, the shadow you see in alpha three is his child escaping (hence the neighbour crying), the second build showed how he kidnapped the child's mother, and alpha one shows how he kidnapped the mother of his child from the highschool as she is one of the students... Okay so my sisters theory : The Neighbor worked at the supermarket but then he decided to stop working their. So he became a teacher. One of those kids were like the devil and the teacher (the neighbor) must have done something bad to the child that made the child do something to the teacher. The child had a really bad past with your person (that you play with) and the picture that has the neighbor and your person is a picture of your past. You and the neighbor use to be friends. The child was going to kill his family if he didn't do something bad to your person, so he stole his house when it found out he was moving. The neighbor did something that broke his deal with the devil (the child ~ the child probably wasn't the devil but he was apart of a group or something with the devil) so the child killed his family and turned them into mannequins. Some of them were burried infront of the church. (My sister got the theory that the child killed his family and turned them into mannequins because in Alpha 1 there is a grave in the neighbors house and a mannequin is burried inside it kind of looks like the neighbors grandma) That's why you see in the end of Alpha 3 the child and the neighbor crying. This is not my theory, it's my sisters. Sorry this is sooo long. Also excuse any spelling errors. xD

I think the neighbors crying because he lost his house and he had to move to a new one and so he's sad because he lost all of his secrets I think it's a good theory :3

Maybe the neighbor had multiple jobs (like Teacher, Cashier etc.) that he quit or got fired from. I think he raged because of his job. I think he made a deal with the devil so he'll get his wife or job back, maybe his kids gossiped about him in school so he kidnapped students. He cried because he regret it. Cried because he lost his family, cried because he lost his job. Just a theory though.
