Boge, I have appreciated your style of review, and your content in general for a couple years now. I think you have done a fine job of continuing on your brother Jeff's legacy. Thank you for being genuine. Not enough of that going around these days. Beautiful rifle, by the way. Definitely a 22 lever gun I would own and pass down as an heirloom.

Partial to the Browning BL-22. Or the original Winchester 9422. These Henry's are fantastic rimfire as well. Some say Marlin needs to bring the 39A back (under Ruger).

nice but i wish the receiver was brass or steel. its zinc.

I get it, but the street price on these is around 500 or a little under. And if it was solid brass or steel like the bigger models, the price would be closer to the bigger models. And the zinc/brass alloy they use is pretty proven at this point. It’s bothersome but it works and keeps the price reasonable. Other makers have gone to plastic parts on their .22s

I'm over do new 22 local Walmart had golden boy 22 felt good wasn't large lever though had put back before followed me home 😆
