I love Chris Melling - He’s got a face like Norm MacDonald: you just look at the guy and you can’t help but smile 😅 That kick-shot he made when he was hooked on the 6-ball was easily one of the Top 10 Greatest clutch shots in Mosconi Cup history (USA coach Charlie Williams agrees with me) Awesome to hear a bit of his background. I’ve always been rooting for him to pick up a big trophy again 🤞🙏👍 My favourite player to watch for over 10 years now!!! 💪

Loved this so much. Keep them coming, Emily & Matchroom team. I wouldn't stand a chance against Chris even on his bad days, but I was similarly a very sharp potter as a younger lad, and still struggling to reach that same level even though I'm a more rounded player now. So this really struck a chord with me.

I know how you felt when you got depressed and everything happened so quickly within 6 months I lost both my grandma's lost my brother a very close cousin and I had a massive heart attack and stroke I actually died on the table but they brought me back became disabled from that all this happened between 6 months to a year for my I know it sucks but you must keep pressing forward the Lord kept me here for a reason as well as you. You are a tremendous player and person thank you for sharing your story

Yeah, in my pool hall when the kids come in, and show promise, I see them playing with people that typically wouldn't play with an adult playing at these kid's levels, and teaching them as they went along. A few came in and went right up through me in proficiency, as I played with a few of them over time, always fun. My kids were fully grown at the time, so it was fun to pass some knowledge along. I liked it even more when I was playing them later and they were beating me. :-) They sold alcohol in the hall, but during the day, with parental (real parent) supervision, they were allowed to come in and play. Great stories. I didn't get through the whole thing, too much to do, but I hope she asked at some point about that INSANE (8 ball, IIRC) run out of Chris's. I need to go back and watch that again. One of the fun aspects was watching his reactions after he kept making unbelievable shot after unbelievable shot. And that 'wine glass trick shot' four railer, that was all up pool god stuff. Love watching Chris play. Geez, sounds like a tough six months. Junk is junk, but losing people you love, or respect, or are just close to you in any respect, in a short series is really depressing stuff. I never had a series anything like that, thank god, so I can't even imagine, really.
