A Kyiv City Walk recorded in Kyiv, Ukraine in June 2021 featuring the Saint Sophia Cathedral (Софійський собор), Independence Square (Майдан Незалежності), Sophia Square (Софійська площа), the Bohdan Khmelnytsky Monument (Пам'ятник Богданові Хмельницькому), the Volodymyr The Great Monument (Пам'ятник Володимиру Великому), Saint Vladimir Hill (Володимирська гірка), the Red University Building (Червоний корпус Київського університету), the Friendship of Nations Arch (Арка дружби народів), Khreshchatyk (Хрещатик), Taras Shevchenko Park (Парк імені Тараса Шевченка), the Dnieper (Дніпро), the Cathedral of St. Alexander of Kyiv (Катедральний Собор Святого Олександра), the Kyiv City Hall (Київська міська рада).
Immerse into this magical ambience with the Minister of Ambience.
Returning back to the streets of the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv. Following our evening walk, we decided to release another tour from this city. This time capturing its most ambient locations during daytime. We start off at Volodymyrs'kyi Passage that leads to Sofiyivska Square with its beautiful St. Sophia's Cathedral. Turning then southeast towards Independence Square. Our next destination is Volodymyrska Hill, a green oasis in the middle of a bustling city. After a short park walk, we go onto a pedestrian bridge, overlooking the left bank of the Dnipro river and eastern parts of the city. Cross to an observation deck and the Friendship of Nations Arch. Later, we follow Khreschatyk St until the right turn onto Tarasa Shevchenko Blvd. Our last visited landmarks are Taras Shevchenko Park and the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

In Ukraine, as one intelligent foreigner who knows Eastern philosophy said, the flow of life is quite balanced, between chaos and development. He is amazed at how tolerant Ukraine is of imperfection, and he likes that there is a place on earth for imperfection that is very structured. In Ukraine, people are more relaxed, although they work, but know the time to relax - sit on benches in parks, walk the streets. That is, not only earn money, but also enjoy life or at least its beautiful moments. He said that Western society should adopt relaxation from Ukrainians, be less focused on material things without leading them to perfection, or at least not try so hard. He wished some countries with chaos to learn from Ukrainians in education and organization, that is, he believes that Ukraine is in perfect balance. В Україні, як сказав один розумний іноземець, що знається на східній філософії, досить врівноважений потік життя, між хаосом і розвитком. Він здивований, як терпимо в Україні ставиться до недосконалості і йому подобається, що є таке місце на землі для недосконалості, яка до того ж у нас дуже структурована. В Україні люди більш розслаблені, хоча і працюють, але виділяють час на відпочинок - сидять на лавках у парках, прогулюються вулицями. Тобто, не тільки заробляють гроші, але і насолоджуються життям чи хоча б прекрасними його моментами. Він сказав, що західному суспільству слід перейняти в українців розслабленість, бути менш зосередженими на матеріальних речах, не намагатися доводити все до досконалості, або хоча б не так старатися. Деяким країнам, де панує хаос, він побажав навчатися в українців освіченості та організованості, тобто він вважає, що Україна знаходиться в ідеальному балансі.

@@Anna-tw3dd I think names should not be politized as we see it in last month, there are some names in different langauges which are used for hunderds of years and it's ridiculous to start speak Ukrainian only because of name in your language is similar to Russian name. BTW, it's Kyjev in Czech, not Kijev, I was writting it wrong before.

Apparently its a polish church. Kiev is a capital city, so there must be many foreigners and followers of different religions. Besides, i think many Ukrainian catholics are of polish decent anyway. Likewise, i saw orthodox churches in Poland with ukrainian signs.
