this show ran from 84 to 92. I think it was the best sit com ever. unfortunately you don't relate to that time so you don't get the references. if you have a chance to watch the other women on the show greatest come back you may get the characters.

You really need to google Bea Author Her first. Story involved on t v that I know of was Maude It had many spin-offs.Archie bunker,the jefferson's , good times And several others. She had a lot to do with the production of Maude Which was the first television show to feature?Abortion relationships between different races, the differences and similarities of both and many other social and political scenarios scenarios.It was extremely progressive for the seventies
