For me the greatest era of mobile gaming was Java mobiles games era, developers were very ambitious about games and porting almost every big titles of that time to Java phones. It was legendary era of Mobile Gaming and still to this day i play those games using an emulator on my android, I think you should give it a try too.

You talked about halfbrick studio but didn't mention Dan the Man action platformer. For my uncultured folks, here is a summary of Dan the Man. Normal Guy (Dan) - forced to choose between peace (villagers) and pew pew(ninjas) - chooses pew pew - dan fights like crazy - villagers back home captured with his SO - made to work - dan fights and crashes in there - So scared - crazy villain Dark master shows up - dan fights - Light master (some superhero) shows up - dan faces of king - already killed by ninjas - Dan doubts his choice - ninja leader fight in bigass robot - dan wins - robot self destructs - dies - back to start - chooses peace - end. This also had his own spinoff series where he does some adventures whose episodes unlocks after level cleared. One of the best story driven game I've ever played on mobile. Rest all are more often than not repeated tasks like driving around. This was peak fr o7

Shadow fight 1 was my favourite pc game in 2011. But sadly nobody remembers shadow fight 1. It was played on Facebook. I remember butcher was the first boss and the environment wss so scary and gory. And boss fight actually meant something becusse you had to wait for your friends to attack butcher and actually win, and slowly if you get all 6 seals then you get to face titan. So u always wanted good friends in facebook to fight with your side. The animations were really stickman like back then and ragdoll excessively but jt was fun

I grinded shadow fight 3 until 2023...,their sets are cool(yes i have a collection) got special abilities for every legendary and mythic sets..and the special moves are cool..but shadow fight 4 arena is a multiplayer..yes they added og sf2 villains as playable character too...but the main problem is the game is full of campers..other wise its a really good game..the visuals are cool,animations are cool,shadow abilities(which is a new thing like magic in sf2)are cool...so yeah you can try it...but for progression like getting new characters...you need to buy gems using real money otherwise its really slow.....
