GSW is a great team. Almost all drafted and developed talent. And most of the non-KD trades being rehab vets who all seem to find success and value with them. The team has great owners, a great front office, and high character players. And most importantly an amazing team-first culture. NBA contractual agreements come with requirements and stipulations. Has nothing to do with free speech, as the right to discuss such matters is waived by mutual agreement. The specific "reason" for the fine was discussion of CBA negotiations and criticizing the agreed to operating terms of the league in public. If the report is accurate, would be one of the largest NBA fines in history, the league (which is really the team owners) are indicating that they are not playing around on this subject.

The award for "best team" generally is given the the prior season - not the upcoming season. (This isn't the "best team on paper" award). Toscano was a member of the team getting the award. Next year, when he has a road game at Chase center, he will be awarded his ring for his role on the Warriors in his Laker gear. Just cause you sign with a new team for the next season doesn't invalidate the awards earned the prior season....
