Brother Ted, I am 79 years young , Viet Era Vet, great-grandfather, but, in my waning years plagued by declining health problems ( aren’t we all?) and, wondering how fast getting to be 80 comes around! As I enter the doldrums of my existence, it seems that I have lost my joy and found that every thing feels mundane and, mild depression sometimes rears it’s visage. I accidentally happened on your show, and was mesmerized by your uplifting soulful vitality. Hearing your faithful praise of the Lord and humorous anecdotes has relieved the heaviness of my soul lately! I believe the Lord has put you in the perfect medium to bring uplifting messages of hope to those of us who at times need to be led out of the fog and, into the light. Stay strong Ted! I also had the dreaded L5 S1 thing going on. My doctor put me right in the dope. I had to wait a couple years for surgery. Screws, rods, a fused joint and a nice fat bottle percocet and another fat bottle of methadone. Only to get kicked out of the pain clinic for weed. You know what happens then. Altogether about 5 years. Just about enough time to totally ruin my life. Someone suggested that the best way to get help, with no money, was to go to the hospital and tell them I wanted to end it because of the addiction. They put me in a 10 day detox. I got out, moved to another town, got a job, made new friends and have a new life. that was 11 years ago. We can manifest our destiny!
