Good vid. One thing puzzles me...every other tutorial I've watched states 3ft is equal to 1yd with ref to pin height. But you say 1 foot is equal to 3 yrds?

I mean its so variable based on the chipping club selected. It was about 3 yards in that example with a pitching wedge. But if you used a more lofted club like a sand wedge, then makes sense it would be closer to 1 yard because loft is so much higher and it would drop to the pin much more vertically. What I was trying to do with this video was to seed some thinking on how the mechanics work in those examples so you could test it out in the myrid number of course/weather/club combinations that you will face around the course. I don't think it is easy to give a scientific formula for how to win in golf on every shot. But there's some mid-science thinking to be done before you take a shot rather than just hit 'n hope, or spending thousands of hours mastering the feel. Cheers

98% from light rough is the distance if your shot line is inside the red marker cone. If you start averaging the % youre going to get incorrect distances especially when the % band is wide when youre in a bunker for example.

I'm really trying to improve my game here but I'm having a little hard time understanding this once I divide my percentage by the Club carry that I'm using the answer whatever I get that's saying that's where the ball is going to land while in the air I just want to know how do you figure out how long the ball is going to roll? I was wondering if you could do another video on chipping I've watched this one numerous times but it's just not sticking to my little brain

Like if I'm going to chipping situation where 11 yards to feet up I'm using my lob wedge I have a 75% chance so I take the 75% of / the lob wedge carry which is 9 yards so I'll take that 75% and I will divide it by 9

So whatever that answer is that roughly where the ball is going to land I came up with 0.08 so is that where it's approximately going to land I just having a hard time understanding getting the roll down I'm seeing it and I'm hearing it I'm just having a hard time comprehending it

And I somewhat know the five different chip shots I'm still new at the game I've had it for a year but I didn't really start playing until a few months ago
