The good life as a seafarer!

One of my best trips so far as a trainee. Learning new stuff everyday new places to see and always plenty things to do!
I did not have that much time to edit or make music because much stuff is happening at home!
Thanks to the awesome people helping me to get this movie so great :D

Why you choose a chemical tanker company? salary higher?

+Henry Ng I was a trainee and i wanted to learn as much as possible. The salary is not that great compared to a Supply/anchor handler in the north sea, but the experience i got from traveling the world, can´t be compared to money ;)

I see. I have a chance to on Stolt-Nielsen's chemical tanker as a deck cadet, do you know anything about this company? What's so special about this kind of ship compares to container and bulk carrier? Thanks:)

I saw a lot of Stolt ships around when i was a trainee, and compared to bulk and container, the work can be a bit dangerous, because we are working so close with the chemicals we are transporting and if there is any spill and accidents, it can be dangerous to you and the environment. But if you follow the strict procedures and do as you are told there will be no problem ;) I think you will have a great time ;)

+Ruben Sandvik Most of the chemical tanker is liner? How's your training provided by your company? Or they just get you on board let you learn by yourself? What are the most common nationalities on your vessel? Because i see no Indian and Filipino officer in your video, it's quite unusual. Btw, thank you for answering my questions.

We had 20 Filippinoes and 8-10 Norwegians onboard the vessel. We had a program which we had to follow that we did together with our ch/o. This was to learn anbout all the different things onboard and not just work. Learning the safety prosedures and the safety system onboard. After a while when you have learned the lines and your responsibility as a trainee and learned a bit how things are done, you get more work for yourself which made me whant to beacome an officer 😊
