I got the DVD box set for my 16th a couple years back. It is one of, if not, my favourite tv series. Never fails to make me laugh, the casting was perfect. Wouldn’t have been the same any other way.

Just re-watching The Good Life at the moment. I was too young to have seen the original release but I grew up watching the re-runs and it has a special place in my childhood memories. A true British TV great ❤️

it's hardly surprising Felicity, Richard, Paul, and Penny remained lifelong friends. All of whom were fairly, in personal lives, opposites of their on-screen personas. Which made them enjoy the work and each other all the more.
