The ineffables are living a life that is also being written and developed by an author who is producing and filming a show about their lives. I think my brain just broke

oh, you think so? While it' be really nice og=f Gaiman and is totally a small inclusive detail he could do, I prefer to think it's because of the reputation that this font has gotten over the years as the worst-looking and goofiest one. Or maybe even both are true, who knows :)

I don't think hell wants anything to be easier, it's probably there just to make people, who convinced themselves it hurts to read it, suffer. Then again, it could've been Times New Bastard (Times New Roman but every 7th letter is Comic Sans. Though ig hell also doesn't like the number 7?)

My favorite theory is that Aziraphale sort of becomes Raphael. It makes sense because as we know, season 1 is the first book (which originally had none of the archangels) and the upcoming third season will be based on Neil and Terry’s plans for a second book. Season twos ending was just setup for how the third season/second book would have started. Aziraphale as one of the archangels. It’s pretty fair to say the three most known archangels are Gabriel, Michael, and Raphael. I just think if Aziraphale doesn’t sort of take on the idea of Raphael then we would already have seen that character in the first two season like we did with Michael and Gabriel.

I first read Good Omens in the early 1990s, not long after it came out, so I didnt have the imagery of the series influencing my interpretation of the novel. I always thought the capital city in Another Place was a reference to one of the circles of Hell. It's Too Late because if you are a human that's there you are eternally doomed. It's Too Late to repent

I was introduced to Neil via Terry, and introduced to Terry via Douglas Adams .... if you want to know why the Good Omens movie script exists as it does ...go and look at anything written by Douglas Adams about the HHGTTG film ... it took more than 20 years to get something that was acceptable ...

Crowley's name: he changed it from Crawly (moving like a worm) to Anthony J. Crowley. The J. us not just the random Jay (as for Homer Simpson) but more like a nod to British born SF/fantasy author Piers Anthony JACOB who wrote his "Intimations of Immortality" [title of a 1804 W. Wordwoth ode] stories in the 80's up to 2007 too: Elemental Forces as "job options" to be handed over to "normal humans" - the story arc sees Satan (once a devout christian monk) trying to replace the currant christian God for a better suited candidate who DOES something in this office. Starts out with Death ('83), Time ('84), Fate ('85), War ('86), Nature ('87), Satan ('88), God (1990) and Nox... (she is quite something in 2007). The 7 Sandman siblings (all their names starting with D) in Neil Gaiman's Graphic Novel (1989-96) take a similar spin on "reality": offices, that have to be filled with people, to make the world go round😂

The hat and scarf advert: the contact person is Rob which is a reference to Rob Wilkins who was STP's assistant and is now head of his literary estate. The reference number at the end is GO 28.04, GO being Good Omens and 28.04 being STP's birthday. Underneath the advert is another for a lost book, The Colour of Magic, which is STP's first Discworld book. I'm fairly sure that the number 93 bus is also a reference but I'm not from London so I don't get it.

I will watch this again am writing an article myself on Good Omens so I book marked it. Sendarya made several videos with the help of meticulous friends about the minutia of Season 2 which is worth watching and a small number of lunatic fans have in my opinion confused the actors superb as they are with their roles which makes me uncomfortable to say the least. I have some nerdy stuff about Lucifer. The name Lucifer is made up of parts of two Latin words: “lux” meaning light, and “ferre” or “fer” meaning to bring it it’s imperative form. This means that Lucifer literally means light bringer or bringer of light, and what do you know? - angels are/ were the bringers of light. Now, I have little knowledge about the Bible, but there’s something one can assume. Lucifer is/ was an angel who fell after doing stuff God didn’t like. Some theories suggest that Lucifer, once he fell, changed his name to be Satan. However, a Wikipedia article about the TV adaptation of Gaiman’s novel “Lucifer” states that Lucifer, the ruler of Hell, was the archangel Samael, who was thrown out of Heaven because of the rebellion.

Personally, I think the community reads too much into the narrator vanishing in season 2. IMO, the narrators lines dripped with T.Pratchett, the witty descriptions offhand jokes, that was Terry, and I think his old friend and co-author has more respect for the man than to try to knock off his style. Far, far easier and more respectful to KILL GOD than pretend your Terry.

Hi! I can't believe that I've never come across your channel before, I love your style of content creation. The way you explained the 90's movie script made me laugh so much, I live stock photos. I've recently gotten VERY into good omens, and I am apparently the antichrist according to you ;-;. I have tried to read "the magic trick that we didn't see" but I found it very difficult to understand. Is there any way that you can summarize it in a sentence or two for me? I got the general idea, it's just a bit difficult. Lastly, you deserve SO MANY MORE SUBSCRIBERS OH MY GOD. How are you this underrated??!?!?!?!?! like oh my god. this comment made my day! thanks for the kind words I'm glad you enjoyed it, to summarise the magic trick you didn't see: So Metatron has the book of life and is using it to change the past/tamper with the character's memories. (eg, when crowley fails to remember other demons names)- he is doing for more control. it also says that maggie isn't real and is a sort of "puppet" because she is a badly written character (compared to everybody else in the show) the book of life theory basically explains a bunch of failed chekhov's gun's as byproducts of metatron tampering with the book. i hope that made scene haha : )

I read the book three weeks ago, finishes Season 1 yesterday, know too much about Season 2 due to clips and compilations (and memes and meme compilations) on KZbin. I also knew a good 75-80% of these things and yes, I’m so ready for Season 3 (I think it was confirmed).

Yep! Season three is confirmed, if you want direct updates Neil Gaiman’s tumblr is usually a good place to go. But allegedly filming isn’t due to go ahead until next year- hope you enjoy season 2!

She was wearing beige/light brown, when she found the matchbox and in the reunion with Michael and Uriel. Also, she was the scrivener already in the Job's minisodes. Aaaand... The coffee theory does discredit Azi' s character. I don't think he was drugged. His action reflect his personality and what we saw he believes on the minisodes character development, and both season. Choosing accept is consistent with all that. I might add something more later

This doesn't really pertain to the content of this video, which I appreciate a lot as someone who doesn't frequent tumbl and reddit! It was just a thought that struck me: Either Terry and Neil used another ranking system for angels (after all, archangels are usually low in angelology so they've already shifted things around) than the one you show _or_ we have proof Crowley was an archangel, seeing as in the scene with Beelzebub where they first discuss "extreme sanctions" Crowley mentions how the existence of the book of life was "just something they used to say to scare the cherubs".
