"Most Improved Player" examines the flaws of Chidi's ethical obligation to help Eleanor. Throughout most of the episode it is clear that Chidi's lessons have helped Eleanor to improve more than any other person in the neighborhood. But then they leave you with a gut-punch of finding out that Chidi's efforts have actually hurt someone else just as much as they've helped our main character. Should Chidi's actions be spent on behalf of the most deserving, or the most potential improvement? A quandary that's just as prickly as Eleanor's file.

You guys are entering into the strong momentum of seaon one. Things are going to get very interesting over the next four episdoes. (I see you already have gotten to the S1 finale! Can't wait to see your reaction!) That said, I want to offer a brief warning. Each season is going to have a period early on where you *might* question if you want to keep watching the show, for reasons that won't be obvious right away or that I can't spoil. But trust me, everytime you think, 'has this show turned into something I'm maybe not interested in anymore?' it comes around again, finds it momentum and nails it. Hang with this show even if you start to wonder. It has its flaws (that are worth overlooking,) but in the end the journey is amazing. Take it sleazy.
