The low rent problem is insanely easy to fix. The solution? Low rent housing. If you have for example an suburban area with high rent problems all you have to do is to convert one block to high rent housing. If you have high rent problems in your downtown area then is it good to build low rent housing right on the outskirts of the downtown. Thats what i did and the high rent got snapped out of existense

honestly my real problem with cities skylines 2 is that it's a step back from the first game in many regards, including, and very importantly, with mods, BUT it also doesn't change anything meaningfully from the first game, you know, like new gameplay styles, or new game modes, or paradigm shifts or anything it's just more of the same, refined in a lot of ways, but if I want more of the same, I already have cities skylines 1

totally agree with that. its nice that things are refined and looking better straight out of the box, but there's nothing new about it. i can make Cs1 look almost just as good as Cs2 with mods, i have tens of thousands of assets to choose from, endless creativity with map creation, almost total customization of everything looks wise, detailed economy mechanics with all the DLC's i bought etc.. I can't see that just polishing a few things justifies a whole new game. I get the whole "but its vanilla and vanilla cs1 wasn't great" argument too, its true, but i only played vanilla Cs1 for an hour or two to get the hang of things years ago, i cannot play vanilla Cs1, its just not fun after everything thats been provided for FREE by the modders. and you just know this game will have all the same DLC's we just bought for the last game. so we'll essentially just be paying for CS1 all over again, its just a bit more polished now, with less features than vanilla Cs1 actually had.

I agree CS2 needs more assets and content ASAP. I get it. But I don’t think it’s as bad as people make it out to be

​@karmah88 and frankly I'm gonna say something really bold and drastic: your game shouldn't have to be developed 50% or more by unpaid randoms on the internet over time. The vanilla game SHOULD be enjoyable and at least somewhat new irregardless of mods

I was really enjoying playing until the crashes began...now I simply can't play because I can't trust the game will last five minutes without crashing to desktop.

The crashes are gone and I haven’t had a crash or performance issue in about 4 week.

Ok going to drop a few cons for you as someone who's played over 300 hours. My biggest city is 570k Population Con 1 Lack of growable buildings theirs not a enough Variety of building that grow in zones Con 2 Traffic does understand how to drive bad line switches ect Con 3 The Amount of schools needed especially elementary schools Con 4 Water graphics of water on dams ect Glitch through walls ect Con 5 Lack of more natural disasters Con 6 Grass like where is it even simcity has it Con 7 Total lack of anything for the cims to enjoy water fronts making water front homes and stuff useless I have a ton more if you want just let me know

I see your con on the specialized industries, however I kind of like how they spawn in random areas as it feels more like it would in the real world. When looking at the coal and stone and those it feels like they would just randomly go through the industry area and get all the minerals. One this I don't like about them is how they put the circle that limits them. I have just started doing multiple industry's for the same industry to make it look like there are multiple companies and roads.
