This is what happens when there is drought and the gardener has been away for two weeks. It may not be pretty but there is still food out there. Today we are focusing on the front yard.

I like the church bells. I like the coxcomb, too. I'm sorry you grew Swiss cheese! How cool about the baby hummingbird. I hope you had a good Pennsic.

It could be a peanut in your potato bag. Eggplants are one of my favorite vegetables but the flea beetles are to ravenous so I don't get to grow them. We are also having no rain and 100 degree weather. Blue flowers may be chicory, in the tower. Hopefully all our plans to deter animals in our gardens will come to fruition and actually work.

Chicory is the deer’s favorite food. It’s growing at the end of the block. They are just sticks left in the ground. My bad, I wasn’t clear in the video. I also planted my extra flowers in the top of the tower. I thought the stalks might be the extra flowers, but the deer ate these too. Johnnies Catalog says that Endives are also chicory. Huh, didn't know that.
