I watched this show from the beginning. Also, had seen the movies. It was interesting to me how they had to suddenly write into the storyline that the women were witches. Surprisingly, the men in their lives made no surprising comment about it. I loved the series and will miss it. All the characters blended wonderfully. They did a great job. The town of Middleton is magical. Would definitely live there. I hope they can make some future movies and bring more of the magic into it.

Technically the two older children are her step-children. When Cassie moved on from the death of her husband (their father) I can see where to keep them on as regular cast would have complicated the plot and stalled story lines.

Some of the facts he mentioned are not correct. The Bell Book and Candle was a real store in Dundas Ontario. It wasn't called the Bell Book and. Candle but they actually filmed in there. The store owner actually moved across the street and is known as Dolce Kimera today. The Grey house and Sam's house are real buildings situated at 7 Overfield in Hamilton (Dundas) you can actually drive right up the driveway and there is a hospital right across the street. I live near Hamilton so I know all the filming locations they used. All the alley ways you see Grace and Nick walking down are all around Locke St. The city hall is the Scottish Rite House,a real building in downtown Hamilton. Stephanie's Bistro is a restaurant in Dundas, same building, other scenes were filmed on Locke. St in Hamilton when the outside of the bistro was a red brick building. And the brewery was also a new brewery in Dundas that had opened. Other scenes were filmed In Toronto, Richmond Hill and Cambridge. All these places are worth visiting especially in the Fall so yes Middleton, for us nearby, is a real place here in Ontario, Canada. Oh and the Scarborough Bluffs was where Sam went away to help out in South America when they needed medical assistance. It was also used when Sam and Cassie supposedly got stranded on an island and found the pebbles You can google it all.

@MovieAddicts it's ok you were saying they weren't real places. Later on some of indoor shoots were filmed in downtown Toronto at the new studios. But Hamilton/Dundas is very much alive as Middleton. It's a great place to visit with all its trails and waterfalls especially the view from the Escarpment.

The only reason season eight did not happen is Catherine Bell walked away. She did not renew her role and hallmark agree it best to end the show at a high point. It had a 13 year run and its sad to see it end. I personally like the film's better than the show and you can find them on Amazon and hallmark. Good bye miss Nightingale thank you for the wonderful years.

I can't say I'd blame her. There's more important things in life than making money. At the end of her life, she's not going to be thinking, Oh, how I wish I'd done 10 seasons of Good Witch, or more seasons of Army Wives, or JAG. Both her children are growing up. I think her daughter's 18 & her son's 11. Yes, it was sad to see the show end. I'll admit that. Maybe she realizes how fast they're growing up & decided to spend more time w/them.

Good Witch. Great Series. Good Cast. Quaint Town and Happenings. But from Season 1-2 it appears to be no people of color. By The end of season 2 Brown People appear in this town but for some reason Do Not Speak. Then in the beginning of Season 3 it appears only the Brown nurses speak. 🤨🧐😂. I love it because this is real life. Good job 💪🏾✅. Still watching. Not to see if Brown people appear because I’m sure they will have them as a guest at Greyhouse. It took a while for the show to reflect diversity, but they did a nice job in the end. There is an Asian librarian/poet, a Black hospital admin/doctor couple, and a really nice lesbian story line featuring a beautiful multi-dimensional Black woman. I'm straight, but one of my closest childhood friends had to hide who she was from everyone ... People don't come any better than her so my heart went out to her for having to hide all of who she was. Good job Good Witch for portraying lesbian love so beautifully.

Why do all the characters speak the same way in the series? I don't get it. They all have the same voices. The writers don't mix it up enough. Everyone ends every sentence with I do. Or I am. People don't speak that way. It distracted me from enjoying this. Couldn't get into it.
