I take it Soup has never had a near drowning experience. As someone who is terrified of water thanks to having a couple close calls as a kid, it's absolutely not peaceful. It's horrifying. Yes you EVENTUALLY pass out, but that's not until the oxygen in your lungs is absorbed and depleted, giving you several minutes of unending panic

For the record, drowning is perceived as one of the most painful ways to go out. Some people die from cardiac arrest while under water instead of actually drowning, because the knowledge of your impending doom causes pure panic and severe anxiety to the point they give themselves a heart attack.
