I recently bought the 99 Neo for $198 retail. The long cable is no longer included in the package, only the short TRS cable. It works on my laptop and mobile devices but it is not compatible with the 3.5mm jack on my amplifier. So I haven't been able to give it a proper evaluation. I have the Meze long 3.5mm cable, as well as an OEM 4.4 mm terminated balanced cable on order.

Thank you for the update on the cables included. If the cable has the mic on it, and a 4-pole connector, then indeed, it wont work on amps that aren't set up to use those cables, unfortunately.

The new pads definitely changed the sound, but also made them more comfortable for people with bigger ears.

I found jazz, mu only gente, more relaxing with them, horns don't scream😅 I play trumpet and I found them pleasing wothout veiling highs. I power yhem with lake people g111mkII and the duo is pretty enjoiable. Bye
