Same... never heard a sermon on the Father's heart either. I thought I had to do good things in order to stay on God's "good" side and not anger him... This eventually led me to drowning in doubt and debilitating fear of whether or not I was saved because the enemy was accusing me and I thought God was guilt-tripping me into submission of his will. Little did I know it was actually the enemy lying to me in my thoughts and he made me fearful of reading the Bible because I received the truth without the intended love and grace and the enemy was distorting the Word and stabbing me with my own sword. Thankfully, God said to take a step of faith and read the Word again. So, I prayed asking God to open the truth of his love and mercy and grace and it changed everything. Something broke off my heart and peace flooded me. Finally, I know now that the blood of Jesus Christ alone is my defense and my salvation and now the accusations of the enemy have less and less effect as I draw nearer and nearer to God and His love through His Word.

@@pagen5219 Yep, made me also realize that the Word of God thankfully affects the spiritual realm. It definitely has given me peace and is guarding me from being tormented by lies. Prior to a few months ago I didn't realize just how much the spiritual affects everyday life based upon what we choose to believe in our hearts. The more you know the truth, the easier it is to immediately know the lie.

@@pamelavirnoche9573 May God be glorified and we ourselves find freedom from the bondage of sin as Christ himself supernaturally lives through us by faith alone in the Son of God to crucify the old self trusting and resting in what he has already paid for with his own blood as the perfect sacrifice on our behalf. In this way, may Christ himself be our righteousness as we lay down our own filthy rags of righteousness and with empty hands come and are clothed in white robes of righteousness washed clean by faith alone in the blood of the Lamb. "For when I tried to keep the law, it condemned me. So I died to the law-I stopped trying to meet all its requirements-so that I might live for God. My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." Galatians 2:19-20 🙂🙏

Thank you so much for this timely message, Mark. Ive heard this before, but it's like a seed that needs nurturing. The enemy keeps trying to yank up the seed. Our only job is keep our soil fertile with God's Word that we hide in our hearts so we can use it like an ATM machine to draw out when needed and use it against the fiery darts of thr enemy.

Thank you for your message, Mark. Also want to say, reading others' comments helps me not feel so alone. So many of us never rec'd the fundamental teaching of God's love for us when we were growing up. Also, I agree that the words 'father' and 'dad' have taken on negative connotations in our culture and are the 2 most difficult words for some of us to fully embrace.

@graftme31682 ай бұрын
Obedience is emphasized to BELIEVERS to remain in fellowship with God and others. But, a disobedient believer will "suffer loss" of rewards, "though he himself will be saved." Eternal life is a gift. Rewards are earned.

Coordinated fasting and same teachings across different churches and rehearsed intonations while delivering sermons and teachings makes finding a church devoted to a relationship with our Father very difficult. I believe fasting should be done quietly like giving. It’s a performance to do it publicly and reminiscent of law based rituals.

I appreciate your video but what has haunted me my entire life which I’ve been on this earth for 32 years is the teaching “repenting of sins” to be saved. The bible teaches that the knowledge of sin comes from knowing the law. I know we are not justified by the law but that means I have to commit to turning away from sin in order just to be saved, which means I have to keep some commandments in order to live by what is good and evil. James said if I break one commandment, I break them all, so I’m screwed if I haven’t turned away from sin every area of my life. How do I know I have truly repented? Isn’t the knowledge of good and evil what brought spiritual death into the world? Isnt it the sin of unbelief that caused Adam’s spiritual death in the first place as well as all humanity? How do I even know I am born again according to the teaching of turning away from sin? It’s been one of the most disheartening and troublesome teachings I have heard. I never feel like I can get closure on that or that I have done enough. I have heard people say repentance means a change of mind but the majority of pastors teach repent of sins to be saved and for there to be evidence of fruit. How can I get to know God when this is in the way? This has not been encouraging. The only teaching that has somewhat given me peace is faith alone in christ to be saved.
@hiyori28469 ай бұрын
I’m 4 months late but im feeling the exact same way. Literally I am so troubled by the gospel I simply do not understand it. After the spiritual abuse I endured and then backsliding I don’t understand the Gospel at all. I never received the Good news. I only knew hell was real and so I repented although I did feel God drawing my heart to His. But it’s been a lot. I don’t know what to believe anymore. Just like you the only thing that seems to make sense and give me some sort of piece is that we are saved by faith alone in Christ. The only thing I can think to do right now is just trust in Him and have faith in Him that He will help me to understand and get through this. This has been the worse pain and torture that I have ever experienced in my entire life. My heart hurts so much and I feel so heavy.
@TheNarrowPath407 ай бұрын
Repentance is a change of heart. You will have Godly sorrow when you sin. But if you believe by faith that Jesus died and rose and took your punishment for those sins, on the cross out of His love for you, you will spend eternal life with Him. The Father sees you as righteous when you believe these things.
