Unfortunately separation of church & state is NOT working. The establishment clause of the 1st amendment clearly states that the US should not be involved with religion in any way!! The words in God we Trust were never even supposed to put on US currency. It unfortunately got put on US currency a number of years after the Civil War. The US was never supposed to show any favoritism towards any religion and they were never to be entitled to tax exempt status but unfairly & immorally they get tax exempt status when basically religion is just a for profit corrupt business.

@@Clintsessentials Hillary Clinton Started the whole "universal health care" push back in 1993 as the healthcare reform package and the dem's spent 20 years since then making the phrase "Universal healthcare" acceptable to a wide range of voters. Until Bernie sanders interloped the party and insisted on making "medicare for all" the operative phrase. Most people don't understand that the medicare system is a huge part of the insurance company's business and growth. Meanwhile : The progress that was made in the Obama administration was enormous with the ACA. The ACA was constructed in such a way as a public option AKA universal heath care could be plugged straight into the market. The public option was a few votes away form passing and had to be put on hold to get the ACA framework in place. If we had elected Hillary it is very likely the She would have gotten some form of public option going and she might have used the pandemic as grease on the skids. But as things turned out Bernie made the dems the issue and decided to make Obama's progress void... And he did the same thing with the TPP, but that is a separate conversation. Either way we can thank Bernie and Tad Devine for trump. The trump - Assange - Putin connection, trumps collusion with Russian social media blitz and Cambridge were front an center but is that sliver of Burners in purple states and the so called "nose holders for Hillary" that believed utter nonsense about the the DNC and Hillary that gave us trump. Bernie should have known better. Or did he? he has not addressed the issue, few people have. I kinda wish the democrats would take from FDR's handbook. Talking about freedom in a more leftist sense. Raising the minimum wage won’t help anything if we don’t stop inflation. The cost-of-living has increased more than the minimum link. The minimum wage could be $1 million an hour if gallon of of milk or gas is $250,000, it won’t make much difference. Also, now in the state of California, you make more flipping burgers at Burger King then you do working as a CNA. In-home care workers want $30 an hour or more. What has raising the minimum wage done to poor disabled people? Left them without care all over the state

Mr. Sanders, I agree with you 80-90% of the time, and I support Biden for re-election largely because of his political alliance with you. There are a lot of voters who feel that both major parties only represent the rich and powerful. There are many who would would more whole-heartedly support the Democrats if their actions stood by their words, but income inequality grows regardless of who we vote into office. Please make it clear to Biden's administration that if they want to secure the election, they need to prove that stand by the 99%, not the 1%, and they need to deliver meaningful improvements before the election. As long as the Democrats ignore the pleas of workers, the poor will be vulnerable to Trump's deceptive promises. Get Biden to prove that he represents the majority. I want: 1) More progressive taxes (Biden says he'll make the rich pay their share, so prove it) 2) No-file tax system (less burden for tax filers and this is an opportunity to simplify the tax code and close loopholes) 3) Public healthcare system with automatic enrollment (medicare for all; even significant progress towards this would be good) 4) Pro-natalist policy (the cost of raising children and the sacrifice to career progress for parents should be partially compensated for)

As a non american I'm wondering why Senator Sanders doesn't found his own party, together with other politicians (not necessarily independents - I can easily see someone like Ocasio-Cortez being on board). I believe the main issue in american politics is the lack of a third (ideally more, but you have to start somewhere) options. Problem is, "independent" just tells that a politicians doesn't follow Rep or Dem, but doesn't really says much about what that politician do and believe in. As a group is completely unfocused and I can see why it doesn't have much traction with the public. A third proper party would solve this, give the people a proper community with ideals, goals, strategy, key figures. Of course, I'm not expecting this to be quick or easy. The idea is to play the long game. For starters, it's going to take some compromise. As a non american I find most of what Senator Sanders think pretty much common sense (such as the single-payer healtcare), but in order to get different politicians on board he will probably need to lower his expectations. Nonetheless, it's definitely possible to distinguish between "short term goals" (expanding medicare) and "long term goals" (tax-based healthcare). This is just an example of course. The idea is to define reasonable goals to be achieved in a 10 years time frame. That's the second key concept. We don't expect this party to have any meaningful impact in the next 5 years. It would take time for this party to be effective and possibly become a majority and change the rules of the game. On the other hand, even a single digit percentage could have a big impact if there is a stall between the main parties on some decision. The third party could be very well what push the needle in some key decisions. I think the potential is huge. So many people (expecially young people) feel not represented by either Republicans or Democrats, which are basically controlled by corporations and billionaires behind the curtains and are currently lead by a senile old man and a pathological liar. And the future doesn't look better. Of course this is just the opinion of an a-hole on the internet, who is not american, nor know much about american politics. Still I felt like sharing this idea on this channel hoping that some american could find it interesting and useful.

Here in California you need to make almost 43.00 dollars to be able to afford the rent if you do not want to spend more than 30% of your income as government recommends and banks use for mortgages and landlords advertising that you need to make 3 times the rent. When billionaire's and millionaires move in like in San Francisco and silicon valley rents go up, then people get evicted when people get evicted they become homeless and desperate then turn to drugs to ease the pain of starving and exposure and then to support the addiction the people turn to crime and after the wealthy has turned San Francisco into a hellscape they leave leaveing the rest of us to fund and fix their shit especially since they dont pay taxes
